“Great place”

This was a last minute stay and Tom and Judy could not have been more gracious. The room was very comfortable. Tom made sure that I had space to do my paperwork and etc. Breakfast was very good. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Anyone that comes to this area should really check out the Black Lantern.

“Lovely place to stay close to Bowdoin College”

We stayed just for one night, but wished it could have been for longer. Our group took 2 of the 3 rooms for hire. Tom made us feel completely at home (his wife was away this weekend). “A delightful B&B”

The hosts at the Black Lantern B&B were delightful! The inn is very cozy and comfortable with several common rooms where you can gather to visit, read, knit, etc. Our breakfasts were absolutely gourmet with something that appealed to everyone. Thanks for the great review. We were a bit surprised to have tourists from Texas visit Maine in mid winter but sure enjoyed your company and were glad we were able to provide your daughter with some winter experiences. More

We had a nice 2-day get-away at the Black Lantern and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tom and Judy have the knack for top notch hospitality - their home is warm and welcoming and the dogs are great! I highly recommend this lovely B&B!

The Black Lantern is a sweet B&B with charming hosts who made us feel very welcome and served a delicious breakfast. We had the smallest room, but it was very nice. The bathroom was compact, but very clean. We also got excellent recommendations for travel in Mid-coast Maine from the owner.

“Very good option when visiting Bowdoin College!”

We had a wonderful time at Black Lantern -- comfortable, clean rooms, satisfying breakfasts, good location, genial hosts. In short, everything one could ask for in a B&B! I got good recommendations on where to do morning runs. Bathroom was a bit small, but everything worked great. We would definitely return if the occasion arises!
