This review is very difficult for me to write. I wanted so badly to absolutely LOVE this place because every review we read on all the travel sites were 4 and 5 stars. The innkeeper Dominika was fantastic helping us to locate local things to do. She printed out maps and gave direction on various places to eat and venture.... More

Ah, yes, it had to happen sooner or later. After all, this is our fifth year and about time we did not live up to expectations. Right off the bat, I don’t take umbrage at Katles’s description. In fact, I appreciate it as - some hyperbole aside - it can only help other guests understand what we are all about.... More

My fiancé and I had an absolutely FABULOUS time here! Breakfast was wonderful: Dominika made fantastic scrambled eggs with herbs that were amazing with the best sausages I've ever eaten in my life and I generally don't even eat sausage! As a geologist, I found a fellow rock hound in Linda who has an incredible collection of interesting rocks, fossils... More

We took a four night break, during a longer stay in America from England, in Maine early in the season. We discovered this excellent and friendly B & B purely by chance and were made to feel very welcome. The room was cosy and warm despite the cold weather. The breakfasts were very tasty and varied, being cooked as we... More

Dominika and Linda are wonderful hosts and the village of Waldeboro makes a fabulous base for exploring the mid-coast region, and the Pemaquid peninsula in particular. We stayed for three nights in early August 2011, and everything was perfect--great food, great company, and a very cute room with a lovely bathroom fully stocked with great bath products. Le Vatout is... More

I stayed two nights in the Goldfinch room...and as soon I looked at the room, I was happy to be there. Le Vatout has everything to keep you happy during your stay! The room is of good size as well as the bathroom. The bed is great but most important, all around you in this room, Dominika and Linda had... More

The food at Le Vatout was really wonderful and the hospitality very welcoming. A nice, comfortable room and a great price make this a great spot to stay in mid-coast Maine! More

Dominika and Linda are genuinely curious about the world and its inhabitants. They are full of personality and warmth and welcome travelers into a cozy world. The rooms are clean and neat -- not fancy but welcoming -- and full of books and pictures -- the best decor. There's a filling, delicious breakfast each morning made special by conversation with... The B&B is situated close to town in an older family home. We reserved the two rooms with private bathrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs. My wife and I stayed in the one on the ground floor - a comfortable room but rather small. There is one chair but it is not comfortable to sit in and... More

We took the mushroom foraging package for something different and we were not disappointed. Each day consisted of great meals, wonderful company and a real adventure into the world of mushrooms. We highly recommend Le Vatout and the mushroom package. We are interested in taking the other vacation packages as well. Many thanks to Dominika and Linda for a unforgettable... More

Enjoyed meeting our hosts, and the good food and chats around the breakfast table. Enjoyed perusing their books in our room. Dominika gave great suggestions for our days out. They have a lovely garden, but we were out roaming rather than spending time in it. More
