Stayed for a conference. They did a decent job, for an older hotel in a high traffic area. Service was good, facilities a little dated, but clean. Rooms face north & south and have an angled ocean view, No real ocean front rooms.
Thank you for posting. You're correct, our rooms are situated north/south, with standing balconies that provide both ocean and bay views. The hotel itself sits on the beach, so beach views are visible from the restaurants and decks.

My son was married on the beach behind the Clarion Resort Hotel. Myself and all the guests stayed at the Clarion. Everyone enjoyed their stay, rooms, restaurant, night club and indoor swimming pool. The staff was pleasant, helpful and always available to assist us throughtout the weekend.

we've stayed at both the Fontainebleau suites and the Clarion hotel. It IS a resort.
2010 we stayed in the Suites with others in a 2BR condo. Really nice like apartment living with washer/dryer, fully equip kitchen and everything you need.
Both places have indoor pools which is really nice for the little ones when they've had enough sun but...

I've stayed in better. The room was adequate. No glaring problems. If you can stand the surly bartender, the lounge isnt bad either.
