On several ocassions we have chosen the Good Harbor Beach Inn as a spot to explore the Rockport/Gloucester area with our dogs. The location is superb, the views and sounds of the ocean omnipresent. Although the rooms are simply furnished, they provide the necessary comfort. The prices are reasonable and the staff at the front desk are always helpful. A... More

The beach itself is beautiful, the sand is clean and soft, there are good waves in the (very cold) water, there's an island you can walk to and an area of shallow water with rocks (kids enjoy finding crabs etc there). There are rinsing showers and clean restrooms. There are lifeguards on duty but they don't really help and serve,... More

Hotel is old but location is wonderful. Staff is friendly. You will not be happy with this hotel if you want to stay in a nice place with amenities and a pool. The beach is wonderful the rooms are old but the sheets are clean and the showers are hot. Dogs are allowed in the spring and fall.

A friend and I did a no-husband weekend here, and got a room with twin beds and a view of the beach. It was perfect for us. The room was small, but perfectly adequate, since we spent most of our time on the beach or in town. It was very clean, in need of small repairs (e.g. a couple tiles... More

The rooms are simple but clean, two double beds except for two rooms with a single double bed (Room 17 has tempur-pedic mattress). Right on the beach. Restaurant short walk away and the snack shop is open in the summer with drinks, snacks and sandwiches. Been going for 21 years so I guess you can tell we like it a... More

Location isn't everything! This accommodation is an insult to the beautiful beach surrounding it. It opened in the early 1960's and has had NO UPDATES and LITTLE MAINTAINANCE SINCE. Don't be fooled by other descriptions, rustic it ain't, decapitated, filthy, and broken down is more like it. Decking has almost no paint left but plenty of slimey mold. Carpets, walls,... More

We've been regular visitors for about 4yrs now. The location right on the beach and the convenience of the courtyard make it a great place for a large family gathering. It is very rustic, maybe overpriced, but the location and views are to die for! We have found the staff to be friendly and flexible and have not regretted our... More

Although nicely situated at Good Harbor beach, keep away from this broken down and overpriced cheaply maintained motel with it's cracked chipping paint, it's abundance of weeds, broken windows, dirty cheap lawn chairs and nasty policies. The desk insists you check out of your room and parking spot by 10:30am and threaten to charge you if you go over. No... More

I stayed at the Inn two weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised. The price for me was cheaper than the Vista Hotel and they had a room free with two queen beds (yes, it was in the week) The space was huge, good facilities, a huge fridge was in the room and snack bar outside for quick grabs in...
