This is a hidden jewel in the Berkshires. A family run tradition of hospitality and location, location, location. If you are looking for upscale, this is not the place. It is an old style (think 60's) summer cottage with not a lot of frills. Lakeside Terrace is an old lake cottage which is approximately 150 years old and never claims to be anything else. I would like to correct just a few factual inadequacies in your review. “Little Piece of Heaven”

Lakeside Terrace is a little piece of heaven in the Berkshires. My husband and I spent three days and especially like sitting by the lake and relaxing. Meredith was a wonderful host with lots of suggestions on what to see and where to find a good meal. We are definitely planning on going back next year.

“Relaxing Early Weekend Getaway”

this is a piece of heaven. The view is wonderful as is the Innkeeper, Merry. She is friendly, helpful and goes out of her way to please her guests. The rooms are a very nice size and the porch sitting is absolutely the best...with a glass of wine, snacks and good company it just doesn't get any better than this.... More
