The four of us have eaten in the Publick House Dining Room which is beautiful and the food is good BUT the real draw is the Ebenezer's Tavern located on the ground floor that is THEE BEST. It was our first experience and we are sorry we never tried it before. The Food is excellent. Not one of us had... More

I was excited to stay here becuase the photos were nice and it is a historic building but unfortuntaely I had a room that would not let me inside. Each time they gave me keys none of them would work and one of the staff members would have to drive over to my room because it was too far from... More

We booked three nights Wed-Fri thinking the charm would be great, but it is only a facade. The room (16) we got was small, the bed was sagging and very uncomfortable, and to top it all off we were kept awake Friday night with loud music from the wedding downstairs till past midnignt. When I called the front desk to... More

We enjoyed one night at the Publick House Motor Lodge (adjacent to the historic inn) and for the price (we paid $79 for a Saturday night) you get a good sized room, small balcony overlooking a serene wooded area and full use of the Inn's amenities and restaurants. Yes - the outside of the motor lodge does need a face... More

The check-in staff was great. We were told at check-in to get to breakfast early because the function hall had two weddings that night. We went to our family reunion and returned just before midnight. Friday night PARTY CITY!! There were at LEAST 100 young adults running in and out of rooms drinking: This inn is a group of individual... More

We booked at a VERY inexpensive rate on the internet and were a bit worried about what the Inn would be like. We loved it. Although we were not in the Inn and were in the hotel units out back the room was great. Room was huge, very clean. The best part was the food. I had turkey dinner and... More

We were there for a wedding which was lovely-good food, charming rustic atmosphere. But the rooms-are scary. The light bulbs must be from colonial times--20 watts maybe. With every light on in the room I could not see to put some make up on. The mattresses are thin. The comforter on the bed is ancient-not sure it's been washed since... More

My husband and I spent a night at the Publick House Inn. Our room was just gorgeous, a beautiful 4 poster bed and living room suite. The rooms were immaculate and the bed had the most comfy mattress. The staff was so friendly and Michelle at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. By the time we left we... More

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at this lovely inn. The rooms were immaculate, well appointed and very comfortable, with comfy beds, clean bathroom, and modern amenities including flat screen TV and coffemaker. The food in both the dining room and the tavern was excellent, and the on- site bakery produced fantastic rolls, muffins, danish, etc.
