I booked a night in The Orchards Hotel for a quick get-away in the Berkshires and I was pretty disappointed. For starters, the room was RIDICULOUSLY hot. We tried to crank the AC but even set to 62 degrees the room stayed a stuffy 70 for most of the night. Even at 7 a.m. the room was still 65 degrees... More

The hotel was beautiful. We very much enjoyed our stay during a wedding weekend. The room wasn't handicapped accessible, as told to us prior to booking...the option of a removable shower head wasn't even present...this made things difficult. Also, there were three of us in the room. They treated its two. When we requested an extra robe, we were given... More

I'm very pleased that you enjoyed your visit to the Orchards for the wedding last weekend. The spectacular weather, combined with our courtyard in full spring colors, created the perfect setting for the ceremony. I do apologize that we failed to recognize that you needed three robes throughout the entire length of your stay. Normally we do one for each... More

Spur of the moment, my husband suggested an overnight get-away. He said, see what you can find - not too far away. We both wanted something different - museums and a luxury, but not too expensive getaway. We found the perfect combination at the Orchards Hotel in Williamstown, MA, only 1 1/2 hrs. from our home in Chester, Vermont. We... More

I'm glad that enjoyed your visit to the Orchards. Many of our guests have also noted how much they enjoy our large rooms and comfy beds. They also point out how much they appreciate the very high service levels of our staff, the farm to table offerings in Gala Restaurant, the beautiful setting of courtyard, and our convenient fitness center.... This is supposed to be one of the better Hotels in Williamstown. I am sure it is as the rooms are large, the beds comfortable etc. There is very little that makes this hotel stand out in my mind from any other good wayside inn. The fireplace in the room is a nice touch as are the spacious bathrooms.

This establishment does the little extras that makes a traveler feel welcomed. Having arrived much earlier than expected, I was allowed to check in early. The room was clean, inviting, and spacious with an amazingly comfortable bed. The hallways are attractive; the lobby filled with many comfortable place to relax. Of course, the high tea is a treat but most... More

This is an excellent hotel, it has a little wear and tear, but is spacious and quiet with a good layout and furniture. Nice tea and pastries in the afternoon by the fireplace. The manager can give you lots of info on local colleges, as many customers are visiting them. Best part is the attached restaurant with excellent food at... More

Although the room I was given wasn't similar to any of the pictures on the website, it was large and clean and the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel, but well-maintained. The gym was large, with lots of newer machines. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but it was busy so... More

The Orchards exudes tradition in top class style. My wife and I make regular visits to the Berkshires for cultural enrichment and have stayed at The Orchards the last seven years. The rooms are much larger than can be found in most other hotels and they are very comfortably furnished. The bathrooms include dual sink areas and are both amply... More

I highly recommend this hotel for short stays in the Berkshires. The rooms are oversized with king beds, many with fireplaces. The hotel is well-kept with nice amenities including full service Zagat-rated restaurant, gym, afternoon tea and morning coffee in the main sitting room. the room amenities are comfortable, though I'd prefer to have an in-room coffee pot. Bathrooms are... More

It would be fantastic if you would add the Orchards to your annual destinations list. We would consider that as an indication that we have met or exceeded your expectations. There are many times throughout the year when we offer special rates, so please be sure to check with us. We have some great mid week deals for the summer... More
