Extremely clean wonderful little spot tucked away near the road to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Wonderful location to explore the upper cape or even take a day trip over to the Vineyard. Furnishing that works well in the room. Felt like home immediately. Can't beat this place in Woods Hole.

We stayed at Sleepy Hollow between 27th and 28th September 2011. There aren't many places to stay in Woods Hole but the Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn is the cheapest room in town. It's located a 5 minute walk from the centre of Woods Hole. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was pleasant to sit by on... More

We stayed here one night before catching the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. While the room was a bit pricey, it was tiny! The room was clean, the bath spotless. The double beds were possibly the most uncomfortable I had slept on at a motel. They need to be replaced. It was also a bit noisy at night due to traffic,... More

A very helpful and honest review. Unfortunately we have to agree about the beds. We were able to determine that they stayed in Room 26 and the beds were as described. Both beds were actually new this year but our supplier provided truly horrible box springs that were weak and noisy. This isn’t an excuse, just a reminder that we... More

We have been traveling to Woods Hole for many years, and continue to choose the Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn for lots of reasons. This motel is in a great location, just steps away from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and close to shopping and restaurants in Woods Hole as well. The setting is so quaint and the grounds and pool... More

Sandy and the whole staff were exeptional. Very quaint motel with everything you need. While others fought for limited ferry and village parking in Woods Hole, we enjoyed a short walk to not only the ferry, but village favorites Pie In the Sky coffee shop (great coffee and amazing desserts!), Shucker's (Great Lobster Rolls), Quick's Hole Restaurant (Amazing shrimp tacos... I have stayed here with my family twice before, once in 1999 and again in 2005, so that tells you that I like this inn. The room this time, as before, was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Staying here is like stepping back in time because the inn maintains the feel of a past era,... More

I stayed two nights at Sleepy Hollow and found it to be as poor a place as I've stayed in for quite a while, and certainly not worth the money. The room I had was on Woods Hole Road and so very noisy, but I suspect others off the road would be quieter. But the real issue was that the... More

We’re sorry this guest did not have a more positive experience. They’ve offered an honest review and raised valid issues but we wish they had shared their concerns while they were here. We also wish that more of our guests would post reviews so that this site would offer a more balanced description of our accommodations. This is a seaside... More

if you do stay here, make sure you have a room away from the street - the buses to the Ferry seem to run all night long right outside the window making it impossible to sleep. bedcloths are very thin and do not make for a comfortable/warm/cozy sleep. location is convenient to woods hole...

We’re sorry they didn’t enjoy their stay but obviously we feel that the July and August reviews are much more reflective of our accommodations. One concern is understandable. Woods Hole has a lot to offer our guests but it is a working port and noise can be an issue. The ferry buses do not run past 10:30. We are not... More

We stayed here at the end of our summer vacation. We toured the New England states and ended here. It was a clean and very quiet place. We had a family room that was spacious. The walk to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard was a bit long for our daughters. When we needed information or to buy ferry tickets at... More

We stayed with our three young children over Father's Day. The room was perfect, simple and clean. Pool was great and the small porch was ideal for our morning coffee and to drip dry bathing suits. The hosts were wonderful and helpful but not intrusive. Short walk to town for meals or the wonderful oceanographic wonders. This is a gem... More
