We wanted to getaway for a weekend after the holidays and decided to go to Ludington for some peace and quiet, and to take some pictures, we picked The Lamplighter B&B based mostly on the reviews found here as well as the pictures on their website. We reserved The Crosby Fireplace Room and were not disappointed! Upon our arrival we... More

My wife and I came to Ludington to hike the state park and get a quick fall getaway. We choose the Lamplighter because of the wonderful reviews. Fortunately, it did not disappoint. The proprietors went out of our way to make our stay as nice as possible. Our room was small, but exceptionally clean and comfortable. After a long day... More

My wife and I visited the B&B at the start of our vacation to Michigan. The location is perfect. Near the lake, restaurants and downtown. This is a great old home with well appointed rooms and great hosts. The breakfast was fabulous and relaxed. Bill and Jane really care about their guests. I can't say enough. First Class!

The inn is a short walk from the downtown and the beach. The house and rooms are very clean and don't feel as old as the house actually is. It's right on the main street, so there is a little traffic noise, but you can easily relax in the yard or common areas. The breakfast service is really what sets... More

This Bed and Breakfast is exactly what we dream of for a vacation get away. The owners were welcoming and kind, friendly and cheerful. We stayed in the room with a fireplace. It was a good size room and beautifully decorated. And perfectly clean. And quiet. The shower was very nice, we loved the soap. The bed was comfortable. The... More

My husband and I had originally planned on spending 2 nights at the Lamplighter, but discovered when we checked in that I had mistakenly booked Saturday and Sunday night, not Friday and Saturday. As such, we were only able to spend the one night with them (they were booked Friday night, but offered us the emergency room if we couldn't... More

We needed a place to over-night on our way back to Ottawa from Minneapolis, and Ludington was a good stopping point after a 4 hour drive and a 4 hour ferry ride. We made a reservation online but checked in a little later than anticipated. Bill was wonderfully welcoming and introduced us to the house, our room (the Rose room)... More

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We stayed in the Cassat room, which they indicated on their website was the smallest room, but we thought there was plenty of space. The room was extremely clean and charmingly decorated. The bathroom was very spacious and we appreciated that they stocked it with common toiletries such as Q-tips. The bed was very... More

My wife and I decided to go to Ludington, MI on short notice. On a whim, I checked for an available room at the Lamplighter BB, a place we had stayed in, and enjoyed, in 2007. They had one room available and we took it. We will long remember the beautiful restored mansion and the exquisite food. The quiet surroundings... More
