Most new guest respond that they never expected this modern motel with an indoor pool in a rural area like this. The motel overlooks the Ausable Valley and the Ausable River. The Ausable River is know world wide for it's trout fishing. The section below Mio is known as the "Trophy Water" because if its large brown trout. The river is also known for its canoeing and kayaking. Because approx 2/3 of the land in Oscoda County is owned by the US Forest Service and State of Michigan there are many miles of Snowmobile and Orv Trails. “Have stayed several times”

We have stayed here several times while visiting family in Mio. Have always had a pleasant stay. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff always helpful and friendly. Nice pool to relax. Average continental breakfast for a hotel. We enjoy staying her while visiting our family in Mio.

We just got back from spending two nights at the AuSable Valley Inn. I have never stayed in a hotel that was so extremely clean, everything was virtually spotless. “Everything You Need”

Nice rooms, clean, great location. The indoor pool and hot tub were lifesavers for a rainy weekend and cold tube trip! Breakfast was just fine. Nice fire pit and grill as well as deck over looking the valley. Ice for a dollar a bag, cant beat that. Only downside is the pool rules werent enforced across the board. Already booked... More

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. The people are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the view from the front door is beautiful. I have stayed in the AuSable Valley Inn on two occasions. There are limited options in Mio and the surrounding areas for good lower cost accomodations.
