A great hotel, walking distance to the old town. The area in which the hotel is situated is a little rough, but then so is most of urban Nepal. The rooms are excellent, clean and bright. The restaurant and bar are great. Food is very good, bar service excellent. The staff are second to none. They are very professional. A... More

My wife and I spent three nights at the Hotel Heritage last week. We chose to stay in Bhaktapur instead of Kathmandu and we made the right choice. Bhaktapur is not crowded and walkable with great shops, good restaurants, and beautiful temples. Hotel Heritage did everything right - great rooms, good service and lovely antiques everywhere. We received personal service... More

Overall the hotel is really nice. It's quite new, but the use of older and natural material doesn't give it a 'just out of the box' feel (which is a plus). Rooms are nice, if a bit dark (but not not inconviniently dark). The only area of the hotel that wasn't that nice was the lobby (not that it's ugly... More

Hotel overall was very clean and nice. The staff was great. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. However, 3 slight negatives. 1) their prices for food in the hotel was high. 2) it was freezing cold everywhere (ie lobby, restaurant, front desk, stairs, etc...). They should have some portable heaters. 3) room heater wasn't working very well and they didn't provide... More

Recently opened, it is constructed and furnished from old materials and evrything speaks of quality. All the facilites work well. Members of staff, many of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds, were friendly and helpful. Others have commented on the convenient location outside, but close to, the town which means it is relatively quiet but accessible. In 3 weeks in Nepal... More

This hotel was beyond our expectations. We stayed here on our second night of our Nepal trip and felt so fortunate to experience such refinement and beauty. We could not stop admiring the old bricks, stones and antique furniture. Modern amenities made the stay very comfortable. Excellent showers and fully equipped bathroom. Father and son who run the hotel provided... More

Excellent hotel, western amenities, excellent food and service, very nicely done rooms, bathroom with a tub, reasonably priced. The hotel was not on the Lonely Planet list for reasons I cannot understand. Located just outside the Bhaktapur complex but a short walk and a relatively quiet peaceful location ( there is a high school playing field nearby). Also relatively close... More

This was the perfect spot in Nepal! Close to Kathmandu but removed so you can enjoy the beauty and peaceful side of Nepal! I enjoyed the heritage hotel so much that I extended my stay with them! It is a lovely boutique hotel, beautiful design, very restful and zen. The service was excellent! The staff and management were always kind... More

We stayed here in late October for one nite and wished we could have stayed longer. The facilities were elegant, refined and beautifully decorated. The location was a one-minute walk from entrance to the old city. Staff was helpful, fluent in English and used to serving an upscale clientele. Dining room was stylish and food was sophisticated. Really enjoyed our... More

Hotel Heritage is a great hotel just outside the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Only a 4 min walk to the city full of life and culture. The owner/hotel workers were very inviting and excited to have us. They were very welcoming and ready to make our 2 days in Bhaktapur everything it could be. They helped with directions, planning tours,... More
