It was a lovey experience but did let its self down, not much choice for lunch, and the place its self looked as though it needed some attention. In the ladies changing rooms there was not a lot of space, also a lot of the lockers did not work properly, and this was a Mother’s Day treat from my daughter

Me and my partner visited for a winter wine and dine. First we entered the changing rooms, the mens had towels, robes and flip flops everywhere. It was a mess. My partner also said the women’s changing room was overcrowded and needed a clean - the showers were full of hair. We really enjoyed the outside pool, and the pool inside was nice. The sauna was really small, suitable for 2 people, could fit 4 at a squeeze, the steam room was ok, but they all needed cleaning. The light meal we had was a choice of wraps and sandwiches. We both had sandwiches which were average at most, we expected a bit more effort to be made with them. We’re not to say we didn’t enjoy our experience but we wouldn’t look to visit again or recommend this spa to anyone else.

My wife booked us a night at Shrigley Hall to celebrate my birthday. The staff at Shridley Hall really made it special. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time, were super friendly and we had an absolute blast. It's a unique venue to stay in, a mix of olde world meets new - some elements could do with updating, but its a lovely place to stay. The evening meal was beautiful and the self-serve breakfast was tasty. The peacocks roaming the grounds are very docile too, and came right up to me to have a chat. Thanks to the team at Shrigley Hall for a lovely birthday.

We stayed as a relaxation treat. The spa was excellent as were out back massages. We also arrived to a complimentary bottle of prosecco in our room which we were very grateful for. Reception staff were very pleasant on arrival. Only downsides were how expensive the bar price were. We paid £8.70 for a pint of cider in the spa and £5 for a diet coke!! Good was okay but nothing special and the rooms could do with a bit of a deeper clean especially the grout in the bathroom. We would come again but only to the spa.

This hotel and staff and food and spa are amazing. My freind and I try to go at least twice a year. The place is spotless and we just love chilling in the spa. The evening meal is delicious. The spa is in an old chapel so relaxing and the infinity pool is hot and fantastic views over the countryside.

Needs a deep clean! We arrived at 11.30am to be told we couldn't get ready for the spa or even order food until our 1.30pm slot....this was NOT made clear at all when we booked. That gave us 2.5 hrs to eat lunch and use facilities before our treatment, not good enough. Pool wasn't up to temperature because of a boiler issue and everywhere looked damp and grubby. Spa staff and cafe staff weren't particularly inviting or welcoming. Facial with Farzy was brilliant, can't complain at all, she was fantastic and my skin glowed after. Hotel room was one of the newer rooms although the mould and grime on tiles told a different story, food was decent but noticed a few tables returning plates of food. Don't get me wrong, it was a cheap spa break compared to some, but even so guessing alot of people would be disappointed expecting a beautiful "hall". My friend and I still had fun as we always do but definitely wouldnt return. Shrigley could be a beautiful place but sadly tired and worn.

Stayed recently for our wedding anniversary, evenings away are few and far apart so wanted to do something special. We spent a couple of hours in the spa (which was amazing) and then headed to check in. The room we were allocated was brilliant, very tidy and some nice touches added for our anniversary. We had a nap and went down to have our evening meal around 7:30. I had the smash burger and my wife had the nduja chicken. Both were very tasty and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting! We then spent an hour in the bar before heading back up to our room. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and plenty to choose from. We can’t wait to stay again! All of the staff were very helpful and polite and made us feel very welcomed. Would like to give a personal praise to Emma and Chawki who were absolutely brilliant and very hospitable! 10/10 ❤️

Fantastic night away with the girls! Lovely relaxing spa day, amazing bar with a variety of different drinks which we may have took advantage off and got a little too drunk….however all the staff were amazing (Martha gabe and the duty manager) and we’re happy to help! Couldn’t thank them enough!
