One of my new favorite hotels in Duluth! My wife and I stayed in the Grand Panoramic Suite and it was beautiful. Fireplace, hot tub, separate bedroom, and windows everywhere! The view is amazing. We have stayed at the South Pier Inn 3 times, and enjoy the relaxation and convenience to Canal Park every time. Our preferred room is the King Bedroom Canal View, as it has a separate bedroom. From this hotel we were able to walk to a movie, a happy hour with perfect mojitos, then to an Italian restaurant with a Wine Spectator award winning selection and delicious food. Great location! Lovely room, clean and contemporary. In the morning we will have a nice continental breakfast. All this for under $100 (AAA or AARP). We're happy!

Very clean. We had a canal side suite. We enjoyed the whirlpool and fireplace. Had great view of the boats going thru the canal, lift bridge and the city of Duluth. Walking distance to the canal park area. Plan on going back in the future.

There are a lot of good lodging choices in Duluth on Canal Park. Most are very nice chain hotels with good accommodations. We have stayed at a few in the past and were pleased. On this trip we decided to price shop for the best value and found the best deal just over the lift bridge at South Pier Inn.... More
