This place is clean with big rooms. It very convenient to Mayo, short walk. The staff has been friendly, fun and easy to work with. One thing I didn't like was how loud the bathroom fan is. One thing I found interesting is that the bathroom has two doors, one by the dinning area and one by beds/kitchen area. I... More

Tim and I love to stay at 5th Ave. Inn & Suites...so convenient for us to walk to clinic, staff has been wonderful and very helpful. When I have to stay here when Tim is in the hospital at Methodist, I feel so safe here and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The staff has been so helpful and friendly and... More

I fell in love with 5th Avenue Inn & Suites from the beginning! I stay here one to three times a month and will always come here in the future. The desk staff is excellent! They know me by name and greet me with a smile. They always ask how I'm doing and are there at your service when you... More

We were there for a week. It was very convenient to Mayo and it was clean. However there were problems. The internet wifi was intermittent at best. Mostly it was a pain. There was construction almost every day of the week and one day they started work at 6:30 am, other days they waited unitl 7 am to start making... More

This "Inn" is out. Out of commission that is. The pool was under construction, which after reading previous reviews helped cut out the chlorine smell. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an employeee behind the counter telling me she "wasn't on shift." After an awkward pause "she started my check-in." The rooms are big, and made for extended stay hospital... More

I stayed here for a good weak when I was a patient at mayo. The lobby is rather gross, the pool makes the entire first floor smell like pool chemicals. This is a cheap place to stay if you are going to be at the mayo for more than a few days. The nice thing is that it is only... More

The hotel is older and needs updated, but it's not too bad by my standards. The bathroom was strange with 2 doors kitty corner from each other (not sure of the point there?). As another reviewer said, the bathroom fan was right above the shower head which was somewhat disconcerting. The room was very spacious, however, and we liked having... More

I am a patient at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I will be staying here for about two weeks. I read the reviews on here and was a little hesitant to stay here. I chose here because it was the best deal for the closest hotel. They offer a Mayo Patient rate and they are VERY close to Mayo Clinic. They... More

We have been going to Mayo for 11 yrs, sometimes once a month... We have tried many of the hotels within walking distance to the Mayo/hospital. This has been the best value for the money. We have only had a couple of issues with rooms,we just went to the desk & changed the room, no problem. Our rooms include a... More

When I got to the hotel, the front desk person was making ramen. The carpets in the hall, the room, the common areas were all stained and dirty. Two of my three days there, no hot water. The shower is dangerous, with a 10", open faced, metal blade fan right above the shower. At any point you could shove your... More
