Pulled in, looked and then promptly left. This city run campground has seen its better days. It is obvious funds are lacking. The non-water/electric tenting sites have mature shade trees with plenty of grass, if you can determine which site is which. They are not clearly designated. We've been staying at Prairie Island Campground for just about 20 years - and the Campground is always making efforts to improve on what it has to offer. We have spent many, many years of camping there and have found employees and ownership to always be accomodating to our needs. Floods have come and gone, but they have always managed to have it cleaned up and ready for the camping season to begin. Looking forward to coming again.
