The 2 chairs in the room were so filthy, I didn't even want to put my luggage on the, much less sit in them. After a quick shower, there was about 4 inches of water in the tub that hadn't drained.

This is just about what you would expect from an older Comfort Inn: outside corridors, slightly seedy environment, room showing wear and tear....but; everything except the coffee maker worked in our room; the rooms were larger than average; breakfast was quite decent; service was friendly. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the Ole Miss campus and...

My wife made the reservation 6 months in advance to participate in the Double Decker Festival. Upon arrival Friday, April 27, 2012 ,the clerk states that we are not on the arrival list and my wife produces the confirmation number. The clerk immediately calls the manager, Laura Hood, and learns that Ms. Hood had canceled our reservation the day before...

It doesn't look too bad from the street. When you walk inside, it's a different story. This is one of the worst places I've stayed in the last 10 years. Why: 1) Just plain dirty. And I don't think I'm picky. I stay in 2-star hotels all over Europe and Asia with no problems. 2) Inattentive personnel. I had to...

It was a quiet location with everything in working order. There is one vending machine for soft drinks only, and it is centrally-located. The only hitch we had was when the computer was down when we checked out, and we had to make two phone calls in order to have them fax us a receipt.
Bottom Line: I was looking for a clean, comfortable, safe place to stay at a good value in Oxford. I was very happy with my stay. If you need the newest and greatest and value is of no concern to you, then you might be happier somewhere up the street.
After reading all of the negative reviews here, I really...

There is nothing else to say. The staff appeared fearful of the GM (who was unavailable) and I see why. She was accusatory and incredibly nasty. Oh, the owner is in India. Clarion International was very apologetic and awarded me points but I honestly would have preferred a clean pool, chairs without huge stains and a shower.
This hotel was incredibly dirty. The chairs had huge stains....you wouldn't want to sit down! The shower had hair in the drain. Unfortunately, I dropped an earring back and looked under the dresser-Yikes! Crumbs, food, wire clippings....needless to say...the next victim may find the earring back. There are other choices in the area. My advice-find another hotel. The town is...
