Relatively low expectations were largely met. The bldg is somewhat rundown though it could be newer, the view was nothing special. the trade off was more space. The service was good. Overall a satisfactory experience.

With the amount of travel I do it is always nice to stay at a hotel where the staff practically reads your mind. Without even asking I was upgraded and put into a quiet portion of the hotel. This was probably a very nice hotel back in 1999, but I don't think that they've updated much since then. In 2012, furnishings are dated and a little shabby. Nothing fancy. The staff is pleasant but it's pretty much self-serve once you check in. There's an on-your-honor pantry with snacks and they don't try to gouge you on prices. Restaurants within quick driving but not walking distance. Grocery store IS within walking distance.

Not a brand new hotel, but nothing wrong with it. Very functional rooms, kind staff and having the cupboard with quick grab quick food is helpful. The only complaint we have with this location is the front sidewalk is painted, and can get VERY slick with a little rain. If you walk slow over it you're good.
