Wow, I just finished reading the other review of FNRR, and am surprised to see how bad they are. I've taken a group of @ 20 students to this area for the past three years, and we've always had a great experience. Perhaps because we've always visited before the "season" starts, we've had clean rooms, no problems w/noise and the... More

Horrible customer service, and our RV had a mice problem. When we went to complaint about that issue, Mr. Fidel kept asking us if we saw the mouse, we actually did not, but we saw its droppings all over the place, including the bed. I guess that wasn't enough for him. We were supposed to stay for a couple nights,... More

Dirty and uncomfortable about sums it up. I enjoy camping and roughing it on occassion, but when you pay for a clean comfortable room and get a dump it's frustrating. I would not stay again if the cabin was free. A tent would have been cleaner and probably more comfortable. More

I admit, the cabin is a rustic 4-plex, the pool doesn't have too much bleach, and the camping is primitive, but if you and yours needs a place to rest your head the evening before a canoeing or trout fishing expedition then this is the place to come. For camping and canoeing, you can't find a better deal than that... More

Arriving around 9:30 pm on Labor Day weekend, we were given a key to our cabin. We should have stopped right there, since the "office" is a rundown, cigarette-smoke filled room with a few, lonely grocery items. Since there is no outdoor light near the cabins, we "guessed" our way down the hill across the washed-out gravel road. Cars were... More

I don't know what most people expect for $5 per person per night camping, it does state "primitive" clearly in the listings. We found our spot for the past three years on the ridge to be adequate for our needs.. a place to put up a group of a dozen adults for the nights before and after a long day... More

This was the work place I have ever seen. The cabin was filthy; it smelled rotten, bugs were on the floor and counters, totally disgusting. We left right way, went back to the office and returned the key. We told them we wanted a refund, which they refused since we signed the credit card slip already. Don't stay here!!! More

We go camping/canoeing a few times a year and have stayed at quite a few campgrounds in Lebanon. We decided to try Ft. Niangua b/c the trip was a last minute decision and we had a hard time finding 2 RV spots anywhere else. Plus we had 4 kids in our party and Ft. Niangua advertised a pool. #1 complaint-... More

My wife and I chose Fort Niangua River Resort (FNRR) as a place to primitive camp while spending the weekend fishing, canoeing and hiking at Bennett Spring State Park (BSSP) in Missouri. We chose this spot due to the fact the BSSP campsites were full, and the website of FNRR seemed a nice place to stay with tent camping along... More
