5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2013

We stayed here in April 2013 for one night. The cabins were spacious and well furnished. We enjoyed being away from it all, while having all the necessaries (fridge, cooker etc) to enjoy our night's meal. The location near GNP is fantastic for hikes, and Ryan & Christie were very helpful with directions. We will definitely be staying here again!

My sister and I went to Idaho to celebrate her 60th birthday. Upon landing in Boise, we discovered that almost the entire state was on fire - especially the area near the dude ranch we were to visit. We rented a car and fled to Montana and luckily we were able to book cabins at the Reclusive Moose. The owners... More

Our first time at the Reclusive Moose . . . but not our last. Great location . . . a little out of the way. The price is great. Plenty of room and nice to have such a fully equipped kitchen, sweet "suite"-type of setup. Ryan and Christie are very helpful and have brought the "Southern Hospitality" to Montana.

We stayed at the Reclusive Moose for two nights in late September. The cabins are well-planned and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for relaxing and for cooking. The cabins are about a 20-minute drive (or less) from the main entrance to the west side of Glacier National Park, at Apgar Village. (The drive's faster after you've done it once... More

We stayed at RM for 3 nights in late August, and had a terrific experience. My family, including 3 children found the property of the of best on our cross country trip. The cabins are new, clean, and very well appointed. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, and a really nice atmosphere. The cabins have a grill and fire-pit area which we... More

We enjoyed our two day stay at reclusive moose last week. The hosts were gracious and friendly and the cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we did not feel cramped at the least. It was wonderful to be so close to glacier national park and the hot shower after the highline hike was worth it's... More

We stayed in the Trout cabin for two nights while visiting Glacier National Park. I was pleasantly surprised at how close it was to the park and it was nice to have a kitchen for our breakfasts and even one dinner. If traveling to GNP again I would definitely stay here.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the Bear Cabin. It was new, very clean and nicely furnished. When I made my reservation I asked Christie to keep us away from the road (which is not a busy one --so it was not an issue with any of the cabins). And she did! I wanted a porch for have... More

We had a great stay in the Elk Cabin! They are new, nicely furnished, and have everything you could need for a home-base for a Glacier trip. The location was perfect to make day trips in and around the park.

My wife and I recently stayed for 3 nights in the Trout cabin and loved our stay. The cabins were new, spacious, clean, and well furnished with alarm clock, kitchen appliances, big refrigerator, ice trays, wi-fi, and cable TV (if you're in to that sort of thing in the woods). The cabins are in a perfect spot for exploring the... More
