Only stayed one night, but Woody made us feel very welcome. The home-made cookies were a nice touch... but so was the "happy hour", the gourmet breakfast (which was REALLY gourmet), the wonderful linens, the fire pit, the hot-tub, and the service.

Woody and Betsy are gracious and accommodating hosts worthy of their beautiful cedar lodge. Our family occupied a suite of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms for a week of skiing. We had an easy walk to the downtown shops and restaurants and a convenient (free) bus ride to the mountain. We had a rental car delivered to the lodge for a...

We recently enjoyed a five night stay at the lodge on a recent ski trip to Whitefish. Our hosts, Betsy and Woody, welcomed us like family. Our room was very comfortable and quiet and the whole lodge was impeccably clean. A delicious hot breakfast was served everyday, along with cold options. A glass of wine, along with a tasty hors...

We stayed two nights so that we could ski for a day. This lodge is everything all the rave reviews have said. The lodge wasn't busy so we were treated to one if the suites, and it was a treat indeed. The lodge was spotless, all the little extra details were there and the breakfast was scrumptious and nutritious. We...

It is so beautiful and an excellent lodge with a comfortable cabin feel. It's so laid back and relaxing and Woody was so nice and helpful! There was really yummy homemade cookies in the kitchen and everything about this place has a "home likeness" to it!
You meet very friendly people and Woody the owner becomes like family!

We took a last minute trip to Kalispell to purchase a car. We called Woody (the owner) last minute on Saturday to book our room & hopped on an overnight Amtrak train at 1:30am Sunday from Spokane to Whitefish. We arrived in town at 7:30am and were exhausted. Woody offered to pick us up from the train station although we...

This is a fabulous home away from home. You can barely utter the slightest need or wish and Woody or Betsy will have a suggestion or option for you. This was our second ski trip to Whitefish and Good Medicine lodge, and we plan to go back.
We came back to Whitefish and Big Mountain because it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Now we have found Big Medicine Lodge to perfect our winter vacation time there. The Lodge is clean and well maintained and every part of the day includes an offering of hospitality. To start the day Woody and Betsy serve...

Good Medicine Lodge is a wonderful haven in the beautiful town of Whitefish. We stopped here on a road trip and couldn't believe our luck! We had planned to stay three nights, but ended up staying for five - we didn't want to leave!
We took a ground floor room overlooking the garden (with outdoor spa) and a great view...

We stayed here as part of a road trip from Seattle to Denver and it was by far the nicest place we stayed. All the reviews which talk about warm and friendly owners are accurate - better than that we found Woody and Betsy easy to talk to and happy to share their experiences and be interested in yours -...
