The rooms are small but well-appointed. The owners were very friendly and helpful, provided a map and directions to hiking trails and a recommendation for supper. It took a while to get hot water to our bathroom but that's the only negative. Great value. Nice little place.

The owners of the motel were charming, welcoming and helpful: they directed us to a terrific local restaurant. The rooms are fairly small and straightforward, but everything looked new, the bed was new and comfortable, everything worked and was spotlessly clean. Can't beat it, and as others mentioned, we were pleased to support a locally-owned small business.

very nice family owned motel located on the outskirts of Chadron. spotless rooms, great value, (liked the microwave and fridge). very pleasant hosts so much better than a chain..and the money stays in the town.

We booked with Russ by telephone; he had our room ready when we arrived. Basic, fridge in room. Near to restaurants and tourist office. Cheap!

2nd stay at this nice motel and will stay again! Great price for a nice, clean and comfortable room. Owners are extra nice and will do anything to make your stay great. Beds were verrrrry comfortable. My daughter wanted to strap the mattress to her car and take it back to college! You can't go wrong staying at The Westerner.

This is a very busy season for people traveling by motorcycle and the owner of this property couldn't do more to take advantage of the situation...in a positive way!!
