Not much to say good or bad for this hotel that has not been addressed in previous posts. It looks like one of the old style classy hotels with doormen, valet parking, grand stairway etc. Taping over the Marriott name on each door is pretty tacky, especially since it has been months now that the affiliation has ended. The staff... More

The hotel was fine -- I was worried about the loss of Marriott affiliation but had no trouble. Good: o breakfast was fine and the staff at the restaurant were friendly. o My room was fairly large, and the bathroom was sparkling. o I had no problem at all with water temp or pressure or plumbing in any way. o... The Cornhusker is a dated, mediocre hotel in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. The Marriott is no longer affiliated with the property, so that needs to be updated on TripAdvisor, as it is misleading (reputation, quality, etc.). The tub/shower did not work properly: the faucet literally shot off the cooper pipe when I turned on the water! Hotel staff were unresponsive, until... More

The Cornhusker Hotel in Downtown Lincoln, NE is an excellent hotel! The property is well maintained with good amenities. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. My daughter became ill one night around 2AM and the staff moved her and my other children to another room across the hall promptly. The hotel took care of this incident and without any... More

I've stayed at this hotel annually for a convention every February for over a decade, including this past week. It's still a good hotel, with wonderful staff, but is showing some age problems. The first morning, I awoke to lukewarm shower water, and no internet access in my room. Staff explained that there had been a water break over the... More

Front desk clerk apologized and did not seem to understand that perhaps an adjustment to room charge might have also been appropriate. "I don't know what else [other than apologize] I can do." - the front desk clerk to being informed that I thought no hot water for $111 was unacceptable. I suggested that perhaps that since the $111/night room... More

Negatives: This place is no longer a Marriott Hotel. So, before booking a stay here, call Marriott and verify their status. When I called to reserve a room I was told by the staff here that it was; however, I received a nice shock when I got here and had to not only pay for parking overnight, ($9), but also... More

I am very particular regarding the hotels that I stay in and this one is so nice in the middle of Lincoln! The rooms were big, plenty of natural light and the staff was excellent! The best part about the rooms....THEY WERE VERY CLEAN!!!!

Stayed at the Cornhusker hotel 1 night for a sporting event and was generally pleased with the hotel. The good: The location is great to experience the college scene--the bars and restaurants of Lincoln are within easy walking distance. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The bad: The hotel is showing some age and that dating shows... More

We stayed here for a football this fall, and didn't really spend anytime at the hotel. Regardless, our stay was pleasant but expensive due to the jacked up rates for the game. The one thing I can say is that I have never, ever met more sincere and warm people than in Nebraska and specifically in Lincoln. It was almost... More
