First, keep in mind that this is McCook, Nebraska. You aren't going to find a five star hotel in a cattle / railroad town. (no offense McCook!) I stay here routinely for business, and it's a comfortable, affordable room. There is an indoor pool, work-out room, and restaurant right across the parking lot which the hotel now owns (used to... Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but this hotel is way past its prime. The room was large but had an old musky smell to it. The toilet would run if you didn't jiggle the handle. The halls were dark and dingy. The pigeons roost in the overhang and there is bird droppings all over the outside perimeter of... More

This is a very dated hotel with musty/smoke smell throughout. The walls and ceiling were paper thin and you hear neighbors (most possibly construction workers) until they retire. In our case it was around 1am, during the week. The carpets were dirty and so was the inside pool. We were told this was the newer building! The TV reception was... More

I left for a wedding in the afternoon, and after returing a few hours later my perfume was missing. The manager took a week to return my calls regarding this issue, stating that this has occured in the past but did not believe it was the case this time. The individual staying with me - was with me - and... More

Stayed here for one night when I was in town on business. It's a relatively unremarkable hotel, a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable with efficient front desk help. I felt like I stepped back to a time where people actually cared about keeping the hotel up and providing good service. The room was typical, the TV nice... More

It's a nice hotel--clean, well-kept but security should be reviewed. After vacating our room, I went back in to retrieve one last item, and found a stranger in our room. He had used his own card key to get in and said that he had mistaken our room for his. We notified the office of this "mistake" before we left... More

We had found a list of hotels using Garmin, and were way put off by some of the dumps along the way, and were very pleased to find this nice clean sort of upscale economy Hotel (it reminded us of smaller older hotels with a little class). Yes, the building is not 'cute', but the rooms are clean and the... More

My husband, his brother and I stayed here when we came out for my sister-in-law's wedding in Cambridge. The B&B in Cambridge is nice but a bit out of our budget and the old ma-and-pop motel there is a nasty, smelly dump so we stayed in McCook. It is located right on the main drag in town and next door... More
