If you want a non casino, off the strip but close to it, value for money hotel --- this is it. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms away from the Strip. Breakfast is limited but adequate -due to the numbers in the hotel. Managers drinks in the evenings a definite plus. Plenty of free parking and easy access to all routes. Helpful desk... More

This hotel is 2 blocks from MGM, 2 blocks from Tropicana and sits behind Hooters. Extremely clean, hot breakfast, nice happy hour with hot appetizers. The rooms have kitchenettes, fully equipped and nice to store cold drinks in a frig. A door separates the outer room from the bedroom for extra privacy. So nice to get a way from the... More

I used to stay at the Hawthorne Suites (the old name for the Desert Rose) for business. It was so nice to be able to come home and go up to my room after a long day without the constant ding-ding-ding and flashing lights! The decent breakfast and pool out back were additional draws, as were the kitchenettes in every... More

We stayed here may 17-22, 2012 and loved it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, even the welcome reception and breakfast were good. The previous comments about no seating or line ups at the breakfast weren't a problem for us, so i assume they have fixed that issue. The food was basic but fresh and hot.... More

Within walking distance of MGM and strip, but not as wild and crazy as the big name resorts. Very friendly and helpful staff. They serve nice hot breakfast although it gets kinda crowded. Have nice complimentary happy hour with snacks. We had a nice 2 bedroom suite had 2 bathrooms kitchen table and living room. The furniture was nice and... More

Stayed here 3 years ago, so was wondering if it would still be as good. We had booked a one-bedroom suite for 7 days, but got upgraded to a two-bedroom suite because when we got there, because there was only one one bedroom suite left which was ground floor, and someone had been smoking in it. The suite was great,... More

An unpretentious 4 storey hotel, with no gambling machines. Complimentary breakfast and happy hour in the evening. Helpful staff, clean and pleasant rooms. An excellent escape from the over the top activities on the Strip, but only a block away from the Strip when you wanted to go shopping or just people watching. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice place to stay. We had a one bedroom suite with fully-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and plenty of dishes for cooking and even baking! All rooms have balconies. It was a little bit of a walk to the strip, not bad at all. The property was nice, quiet and clean and the staff was extremely... More

We chose this hotel based on TA reviews. It was the starting point for our trip "the grand circle." Being in a non-smoking, non-gaming hotel was important to us. Check-in was ok, not super friendly, but ok. The lobby was SWAMPED with guests on a guided tour, and it felt a little like a sports arena... Our suite was clean,... More

Very clean, and quiet place close to the strip. Close enough to walk, although we had a car, to Hooters next door with a casino, restaurant and 25 cent chicken wings at midnight was convient. The most noise on this property seemed to come from Hooters pool. This is a beautiful property, apparently part a time share and was nice... More
