What a fantastic place to stay. Furniture was traditional and it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and there was good water pressure in the shower. Everything was extremely clean. A basic breakfast was provided and staff were very friendly. The grounds were well kept.

We can't thank the new owners enough for the fantastic stay and help during our trip. It's nice to know that you can still get such personal attention. We arrived very late and needed to plan the next day - Ernie stayed up late and helped. Thanks again - you saved the trip!

Stowe was our destination for a Saturday-Sunday ski trip last weekend. The Lamplighter Inn was a fine stop for the Friday evening stay. The Lamplighter is a hidden treasure! The room is large, clean, with refrigerator, nice TV, free internet. Great price which includes a continental breakfast. New owner is son of original builders of the Motor Inn and with his carpentry skills has fixed it up beautifully. When we return to New London to visit, this will be our place of choice.

We spent 4 days at this Motor Inn. The room was large and clean. The Beds were comfortable. There was a refrigerator with a small freezer and plenty of closet space. Very pleasant stay, rooms very nice, recently remodeled; grounds very well kept; very pleasant staff. I will definitely return the next time I am in town. New London is a very nice quint little town.
