We enjoyed our dinners immensely and the service was impeccable. Even the owner came out to greet us. Atmosphere plus spectacular views of the white mountains all made our experience at the 1785 a wonderful memory.

1. The patrons at restaurant downstairs sound like they belong at a frat party. Loud crass cursing late into the night. 2. I love quaint B&Bs. Peeling wallpaper adds character, but this is bordering on disrepair: stopped up shower, lock on room door almost falling off, etc. 3. I wouldn't have bother to write a review (I've NEVER written a...

This is a lovely old house, and the atmosphere and decor is really special. The sitting room with fireplace is a really cozy place to sit and relax, and the bar and dining room are lovely as well, resplendent with gold lights and pine boughs. Breakfast was terrific, with the mountain views out the window, and the location is very...

Dined at 1785 Friday night, Alan was our waiter. Food and service was wonderful, thumbs up! Will return, for sure. Were not guests of the hotel, only the restaurant.

gave this old inn a second try. Stayed years and years ago and at that time was very dissapointed with tiny and musty room with shared hall bath and creaky floor. But decided to give it a try on a weekend when our favorite place was sold out and we were assured the largest room with private bath and the...

Hard to sleep with traffic noise. Shower slightly smaller than the one I had on a cruiseship. Service unremarkable. Fantastic view from the dining room, great food too.

Beautiful old inn in the heart of the White Mountains, not overly restored by any means and has all the charms of an old post and beam house. Rooms are smallish, no TV's or phones, but the place has it own bar and restaurant..and they are EXCELLENT! Breakfast came with the room, and that was great as well.

We live nearby and send our out of town guests there and they love it. It is a traditional inn nicely decorated rooms, delicious breakfasts, most rooms do not have tv's (although they did recently install wifi), does have an outdoor swimming pool and cross-country skiing. It is located at a scenic overlook so has amazing views.

This inn is a charming place to escape the city. We went during the holiday season and the decorations were out of this world. The locations was a perfectly located (~2 miles from the center of town) and is one of the few places in town with wonderful views of Mount Washington. The dinner/bar were convenient and the included breakfast...

Did stay here at this Inn, spacious room with private bath. Found the menu a bit pricey so decided to go out for dinner in Jackson NH. Rooms were clean and large. Breakfast was lovely and because we visited this during the week, it was only us staying the night but there was a few people eating dinner.
