If you're looking for fancy and stylish, this isn't the place for you. We stayed in one of the lakefront cabins for two nights. It has an absolutely gorgeous view of First Connecticut Lake. The cabin is sufficient. It's small and tilted...very tilted. The furnishings are simple, clean, and outdated. The bed was trying to kill us. The springs attacked... More

We stayed in a large cabin right on the lake. Extremely clean and well kept. Great view from the picture windows as well as from the porch. Even though we did not use it much, it was nice having a small kitchen for tea/coffee/snacks. The peacefulness of the whole place was wonderful...loons at night...ducks coming by in the morning....starlit nights.... More

Ah! The Glen!!! Took me a long time to look this up on the internet. A piece of heaven in Pittsburgh NH. It's now been over 16 years since I've been there - but it was a favorite, frequent vacation place for both family and friends. Betty Falton was fabulous and one of the best hostesses / owner. It always... More

All I can say is Betty knows what she is doing in a Mrs. Cunningham kind of way. My family, which includes young children had a fabulous time. The cabin was spotless, not even a cobweb in the corner. The grounds are lovely...pristine beauty. And the staff is so friendly. We all enjoyed the meals, and the other guests as... More

I first learned of the Glen from my father over 10 years ago. I can't say enough about how tranquil and beautiful this place is. It is at the best location in Pittsburg and directly on the First Connecticut Lake. My husband and I still get excited as we are driving down the dirt road through all the wonderfully scented... The owner Betty Falton is like your grandmother welcoming you home. Cabins are right on the shores of First Connecticut Lake. They are clean comfortable and rustic. There is no busy traffic its very secluded wooded shoreline with lots of wildlife all over the property. They even serve all your meals and come in daily to neaten the cabin and... More

You don't wear a tie to dinner at The Glen, you don't "dine at nine" and you don't play golf at The Glen. However you do: Fish, hunt, birdwatch, RELAX, eat home cooking three times a day, make puzzles, snooze, hike, look for moose, RELAX, enjoy the company of all of the staff, swim, enjoy "North Country" fresh air, and... Posh isn't the word you would use to describe The Glen. More like "comfortable" and "homey". What you get depends on what you want. Some people use it for a base to do some bird watching, fishing or hunting. Others bring their families for an affordable annual reunion. Swimming season is pretty short because of the cold water but boating... More
