Just got home from a 4 day retreat, the staff was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome in check in, 4 of us shared a very large room on the 4th floor with a loft bedroom. We will definately be back in November, thank you!
To start with the front desk clerk acted like I had been there before and I was bothering him asking where to park, where the gym was, for a key!!!! Teach the young guy at the desk some manners. It is like staying in a worn out camp or cottage. Dingy and mildew smells and I could smell smoke from...

Let's start with the customer service or lack there of. The staff is unprofessional and rude! We had arrived at the hotel at 3:00 and asked if we could check in early and the manager barked at us absolutely not!! They had 2 security guards with guns patrolling the halls with a hotel filled with young children.
Let's move on...

Prior to our trip we read the horror stories on trip advisor, brought to our attention by obviously concerned parents. So with some trepidation we arrived in Waterville, the welcome, help and service provided by the staff was outstanding. The 10pm curfew is a welcome measure with 74 children with us who are all exhausted from skiing ensured that we...

Just to be clear if you are a hockey parent you will understand. The snowy owl tries to accommodate for hockey tournaments. However there are the few individuals who don't get it.

This is our 2nd annual ski tour from the UK to Waterville Valley staying at the Snowy Owl inn. I've organised many school skiing trips to Europe and the Snowy Owl far exceeds the standards of comparable hotels in France, Austria and Italy.
The rooms on both visits were clean and warm. The maids made the beds, vacuumed daily and...

We are in the middle of our stay with a school group. I stay in hotels with school groups regularly and I have never been looked after so well. Everything is so well organised. As for armed guards, I've not seen them....but then the groups that are here don't need policeing...maybe complainants need to think about their behaviour.
Rooms are...

The good part is ....a great location...but that is where it ends. It really could be a wonderful place. The layout is really family friendly. Could be is the key word. The "Inn" is very old and warn. Carpets are torn, windows do not keep out the cold the linens are old and worn. There are not any updated televisions....

The comment below is true. There are officers with weapons at 3 locations...atleast in WV. However the argument below is flawed. If there is a circumstance where a child is anywhere near the weapon, maybe that's why they need it. Shouldn't you monitor your child? Also, there are several bars in the area; this means intoxicated people around your children...
