I absolutely LOVED the Spalding Inn. I brought my friend here for her 30th and we went on 2 ghost hunts. We didn't hear anything but it still gives you an adrenaline rush. I have to say I would definitely come back but will not each the food from the dining room. I had the chicken Alfredo and cheese ravioli... More

We loved this quaint inn for it's lovely views, the quietness, the good food and best of all, the wonderful staff. Our room was spacious and reminiscent of times gone by. The pub offers fare for lunch and dinner and the lovely dining room and it's wait staff were wonderful. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay wonderful,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Spalding Inn for a few nights during our honeymoon. We had an amazing time, mainly due to the wonderful staff- everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and just fun to be around. The food in both the bar and restaurant was not only incredibly delicious but the prices were beyond reasonable! We were... More

We knew as soon as we talked about getting married where we would be taking our honeymoon, and we couldn't wait! It was far better than we ever expected. The staff was exceptional! Christine was just outstanding and did everything she could, and more to make our time there very special. We will never forget how amazing this trip was,... More

The Spalding isn't grand or extravagant like the Mountainview just down the road. It's rustic, and quaint and full of unique charm. The owners (Jay and Grant from TV's Ghost Hunters) have done an amazing job restoring this victorian inn. It's nostalgic interior is simple and clean. The extensive property provides a quiet respite in the middle of beautiful upstate... More

My friend Kym and I are frequent guest at the Inn and have always enjoyed our stay there. Whenever we feel the need to escape our hectic lives its the first place we head. The Inn retains the charm of a much simpler time and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We have the best time when we... More

My husband and I arrived in September to stay at the Spalding Inn for a wedding at The Mountain View Grand. We were booked in The Carriage house in room 16, when we walked in the first thing we noticed were the cobwebs, dust and spiders in the room. No televison, no A/C, the room was not prepared for us,... More

My mom and I came all the way out here from California because we're fans of Ghost Hunters and were hoping to see a ghost--or, at least, Jason and Grant. We didn't see either but we still had a great time. I requested room 16 in the Carriage House (reported to be one of the most haunted; room 17 is... More

Nice location, friendly staff, quaint rooms, very quiet. Food lacked imagination and taste! Evening meal was poor, they used store bought tomatoes and I paid $4 for five prawns on top of my salad. No wonder we were the only diners. Breakfast was a choice of toast or cereal. Loved the hotel but won't return.

We arrived on July 4th and they had their yearly 4th of July Celebration. A little dissapointed that no-one from GH or GHI were there like past years. They had 2 bands there which were good, the problem was the idiot drunk on the Porch, dropping F-Bombs in front of all the kids. Great Fireworks, and a real peaceful next... More
