Our much anticipated getaway to Cape May exceeded all expectations! The comfort and Victorian beauty of our Turkish Room and stimulating breakfast conversation, accompanied by a delicious breakfast all made for a perfect weekend. Of course, our sincere appreciation to Elon for a birthday cake that was truly an epicurean delight. We certainly look forward to our next visit.

Well, this past weekend I returned to Leith Hall for my second visit, (see my review of the first visit written August 10, 2010, (and quite comprehensive). This time I brought along my son (28), and my very active (still gainfully employed as a university professor) mother, for a relaxing, quiet off-season mini-vacation. We were not disappointed. The trip was... More

My wife booked the room as part of the Sherlock Holmes weekend. We loved the room and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were great and the set up in the parlor and library area led to good conversations between the proprietors, Susan and Elon, and the other guests. The afternoon dessert and tea time is something I already... More

Mediocre. Available on short notice and really liked location. Place is looking shabby on the outside. Didn't enjoy the wicker furniture in the suite, just not comfortable. Host was lovely and tried to accomodate. Rooms were clean so no worries there. I guess you could say we were underwhelmed. Would try others before this one.

We had a wonderful time here. Sitting on the porch was so relaxing. We will return to this Bed and Breakfast next time we are in Cape May!

Leith Hall has an excellent location: close to the beach and in walking distance of theatres, restaurants and shopping. Breakfasts and afternoon teas were tasty. We were put off by the VERY narrow driveway alongside the building to parking at the rear. Susan assured us that stretch limousines are able to make the trip, but because we were towing bicycles,... We are so happy to provide onsite parking for half of our guests! So many B&Bs in Cape May have no parking. Our driveway was a side yard between two houses so it feels narrower than it really is. We have had a stretch limo, a hummer and a car towing a catamaran all park behind the house but if... More

Leith Hall proved to be a charming Victorian House very close to the beach at Cape May. It’s the first house on the block of Ocean Street, which is perpendicular to Beach Avenue, within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The house underwent an authentic restoration with lovingly hand-painted faux bois and faux marbre details; along with beautiful... More

We have been staying at Leith Hall since we started vacationing in Cape May in 1989. Elan and Susan are sincerely friendly people. This often leads to enjoyable conversation on the porch among houseguests. Breakfast and tea are always homemade and delicious. The house itself is authentically Victorian, the wallpaper beautiful and unique. The house is close to the beach... More

My husband and I have stayed in many B& B's around the country and Leith Hall has to be rated the worst! The owners were very pleasant people, but unlike most B&B's they do not live in the house. One of the guest need towels and could not get them. There is no real living room or dining room so... More

I don't understand why a guest couldn't reach us to get a towel because we are available 24/7. In the summer of 2009 there was an innkeeper (or me) in the inn from 7am to 8 or 9pm every day. We do go to sleep as soon as we can after 9pm but we give our guests the phone number... More

Genuine friendliness stood out during our four night stay at Leith Hall. The owners and staff helped us to feel so relaxed it was just like home. The food is all wonderful. French toast is so light, delicious and fluffy it could levitate off the plate. The daily baked goods served at tea time are so scrumptious they are a... More
