We stayed 5/18-20/2012...3 nights with sunfilled days. Boardwalk clean, beach had palm trees planted and Tiki Bar happening! Even rock stars were there! Cool! Live bands on Sat. and Sun. afternoon. Staying in a $300+ a night room and having to be serenaded to sleeplessness by the Tiki Bar that blares loud music until 2 a.m. is quite insulting. The property definitely makes money on their late night bar revenue, but making it at the expense of hotel guests trying to sleep doesn't bode well for having repeat hotel guests.
I have stayed in this hotel in the past when it was owned by Hilton and overall I would say the hotel has really gone downhill since then. When I got to my room I found a note on the desk stating they are going to be doing some remodeling and since it looked as though they were just starting...

I was sequestered away in this resort for a 2 night business trip, namely a sales meeting. It was a group of around 200 sales and marketing folks all gathered for a two day event. I'm not sure what the resort is like during the summer months but it definitely struck me as more of a conference center than resort...

was nice and pleasant.. just to get away from everydady life. didnt expect who knows what... was nice to have the boardwalk right out of the hotel.... ocean front room has a beautiful view... nice lounge to sit in.

The hotel really tries.... nice rooms and meals and value...location is fantastic - BEACH FRONT. The dining room staff is excellent and really are above par in the service category.
HOWEVER, the spa is really not up to par with the real top notch spas... but they think they are!!!!!! The treatment staff are fine, but the non treatment staff...

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Very beat up furniture. clean enough except for the dust bunnies under the bed. and no TV reception.

The reason why the rooms are outdated is because this place has been in foreclosure for years!
