The outside of the hotel looks new or renovated. Got to the hotel early as check in was at 3.00pm so left my bag in the locked room - the service was prompt and helpful. To note although I asked for a quiet room at the front desk, they allocated a high floor, 14th, but the higher you go the... More

After reading the reviews I thought this place was just going to be okay - but it was much better than expected. I went for a short trip to NY and found this place to be reasonable / on the cheaper side. Newark is a crappy area, everyone knows this, so don't expect much or anything good if you stay... More

Room adequate although worn, bed comfortable, fridge worked, teli worked, coffee maker worked (and you can get hot water for tea - after all these years the Americans think we all only drink coffee I am sure), bathroom wasn't the best but everything worked too. Breakfast was great, as much as you want really and the staff were really helpful.... More

We just experienced this hotel on the way to and return from a transatlantic cruise. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall appearance of the hotel. The pluses include a fabulous Mediterranean restaurant, clean rooms, great breakfast and efficient airport shuttle service. If and when we plan to be in that area again, I will definitely stay there. The lobster... More

Nice people, crowded breakfast, small room which smelled of smoke. But even worse was the smell in the hallway. If I stayed a second time it would be only if I could have a non-smoking room. Bed was comfortable. Room served it's purpose and was worth the price paid.

Excellant service, GREAT proximity to NJPAC, Penn Station, Prudential Center. Nice rooms, nothing fancy but very nice. Staff very helpful. Room size nice. Good breakfast. They do have a resturant and bar. Parking is next to hotel drive around the back. Went to Bruce Springsteen concert at the Rock/Prudential Center 3 block down on Mulberry street. Seem safe had no... Comfortable and affordable hotel for those who like me find it is total waste to pay hundreds of dollars a day for a room. Since I wrote a review on the Best Western Robert Treat in October 2011 I will not repeat myself but let me reiterate my favourable comments on this hotel. This time I went alone so I... More

This hotel is right near Penn Station in NJ and they have a shuttle service back and forth to the train. Very convenient and only a 40 minute ride all the way into 33rd st. for 2$ each way! Can't complain for NYC. Also a shuttle service to and from the airport 15 minutes away. Can't complain. The rooms are... More

For the budget seekers in all of us. 10 minute walk to Newark penn station which gives you access to nj transit, Amtrak, and path. Use the path trains to get you into NYC it's only $2.00 compared to nj transit which is $10.00. 30 minutes and you are in NYC either the wtc or 33rd st using path. Stayed... More
