We stayed at Bamboo Cottages and had a fantastic relaxing stay after some days of Ho Chi Minh city. The resort is located in the Nortwestern part of Phu Quoc which is not very developed. There is no entertaInment or other resorts around so you are on your own. We had a beachfront bungalow which means that the waves break... More

This review is a little overdue. We stayed in the wooden house for 10 nights over Xmas and New Year 2011/12. We were the first to stay in the wooden house as it had just been completed. There is only one wooden house (just a few yards from the sea) and I didn't see inside any of the concrete bungalows,... More

We landed at Bamboo tired and weary from our travels around the country. It was exactly what we needed. We were well taken care of, the meals (three a day) were delicious, healthy, home-cooked, and the best we had during our two weeks in Vietnam. The rooms are lovely and quaint, and the atmosphere is serene, natural and nurturing. I... More

We stayed 8 nights at Bamboo - over Christmas 2011 with our two boys of 7 and 9. Our boys did enjoy it- a great beach - other kids to play with, a lot of games in the common room - and Tony - a very friendly and warm manager's assistant/bartender (very cool). He added much to the ambiance of... More

Clean, tastefully styled beach front cabins, coupled with nice, friendly staff & good food. You cant ask for much more when looking for a place to stay & Bamboo cottages turned out to have it all. We were looking for somewhere to stay at short notice when the accomodation we'd booked was of a poor standard. The staff did all... More

I booked our stay at Bamboo as I liked the idea of a quiet getaway to chill out away from the crowds relax under the coconut trees. Bamboo was all of this, however it was not quite what my family needed for our stay in Phu Quoc. The food choice was very limited - a set menu for lunch and... More

I spent four days at Bamboo with a group of friends and while the location is beautiful and the bungalows are adequate and clean, the management of the hotel could use some improvement. In particular, the lack of creativity and options in food choices became tiresome, especially with regards to breakfast. For the price (not that cheap for Phu Quoc... More

We had a lovely three day stay at Bamboo Cottages. We pre booked and paid a deposit via on line banking to fully secure the booking which gave us piece of mind. We booked the second 'tier' of newly built rooms that gave us a lovely view of well manicured gardens and half a view of the ocean. The room... More

Bamboo is a get-away-from-it-all kind of place; very relaxing and far from the crowds. Good points: - Nice spacious bungalows 20 yards from the beach. - Delicious food (although choice was limited), reasonably priced. - Lovely, clean, quiet beach. Occasionally marred by noisy kids, but you could walk down a little way if that was a problem and find your... More

We (a small crowd of 7 friends) stayed here a few days at the beginning of January. the place is a gem. There are just a few bungalows, the beach is perfect. The most important things is that the place is quite far away from city or other hotels. For us it was just great, after a very busy and... More
