I had the misfortune of arriving when there was a sports tournament in Soc Trang, & I had to hunt before I found a hotel which had an empty room. Actually, at the first hotel they spoke so little English that even with a smattering of Vietnamese, I could not make them understand that I wanted a room (totally bizarre)....

My wife and I just checked in. No credit cards are accepted, just a note, no problem for us. Lots of ATMs, banks, walking distance from hotel. Wife and I stayed one night at this hotel, Price is low and rooms are clean with air conditioning. Staff friendly with free parking for car or motorbike. Close to many major banks, central part of town and market. Hotel has elevator. TV only has Vietnam channels. Good value for the money and location, can walk most places from hotel.
