This place is a hidden gem in the mountains of Northern NM. Me & my extended family have been going here for over 35 years. My family in ABQ, NM go here once or twice every year. We're going back in September of this year. I'm very excited about that trip because I'll be starting a new tradition with my... More

My family and I stayed here, in the Penasco cabin, for 2 nights during November 2012. It was a magical experience. Straight out of a Thomas Kinkade painting. Not yet winter, we had a gentle snowfall that blanketed the whole property in a fine white powder. Our cabin was roomy, 3 bedrooms, fireplace, hot water and plenty of space. The... More

We stayed in The Log House for two nights in October when the rates are 50% off. It was the most beautiful cabin we have ever been in. The cabin sleeps 10 people, has a fully stocked kitchen, radiant heat, two gorgeous bathrooms, one king sized bed downstairs, one queen sized bed upstairs and a bunk room that has two... More

I stayed at Corkins to fly fish the upper Brazos. By staying there you get access to private waters. The cabins are very rustic, without any electronics, but everything you need to cook meals. The surroundings are beautiful. I will go back!

Corkins is a very old lodge, well off the beaten path. If you, like us, prefer scenery and quiet to fancy rooms and valet parking, this is the place for you. The cabins are on the primitive side, many are seven decades or more old. But they are clean, well-kept, and they have electricity, heat and running water. Our had... More

I hope that Corkins stays just the way it is. Seventy years of experience as a lodge cannot be disregarded. The Tipton cabin was great. The deer eat from your hands and wildlife is abundant. The Brazos Cliffs at sunset are surreal and the river provides background music. If you are going to be in northern New Mexico, this is... More

When my husband booked a guided elk hunting trip to Chama, N.M., I simply thought of this as a nice getaway for the two of us. What a surprise......some of the most beautiful scenery I could ever imagine! The Corkins Lodge not only provides excellent lodging for the outdoor lover, but also offers ( as a separate fee) expert hunting... More

We always stay at the Ponderosa the last week of September every year and love it. We hike, fish all day and spend evening talking on the front porch of our cabin playing with the wildlife! I've never seen such friendly animals in my life. Been married for 30 years and it feels like a honeymoon! The staff are very... More

The best part about Corkin's Lodge is the setting right in the middle of a forest with great views of the Brazos Cliffs. The photos on their web site are not exaggerated, although the web site portrays the facility as appearing more upscale than it is. Other nice features include a sparingly-heated outdoor pool, a geat game room and walking/hiking... More

The sign on the main road caught our attention, what slowly unfolded as we drove through the narrow valley to Corkins was breathtaking. Yep this is it ! quiet and peaceful with some on NM best scenery . Sitting back on the balcony with a Corona and the chook in the BBQ, watching deer, squirels and turkeys was just spot on.... More
