How could you not love staying in a large, spacious beautiful cliff side cave ? It's quiet, cool, and nicely decorated. There is no roughing it here. While one needs to be cautious and use common sense, the trail down has adequate handrails. Gayle is most welcoming and makes sure you know how everything works. It is well-supplied with breakfast and... More

Our stay at the kokopelli cave was AMAZING! It was more than my husband and i could've ever imagined. The staff made it extra special in every way for the both of us. I personally think its better than spending a honeymoon on a beach. If you're looking for a romantic personal get away with your loved one thats 100%... More

We wanted to do something different for our 25th anniversary that would leave us with wonderful memories. At age 69 and 73 we decided that staying at Kokopelli's Cave would be a memorable experience. Don't let the hike down and up deter you from doing this. There are plenty of guard rails to hold onto, just take it slow and... More

This is the most awesome experience! The cave is wonderful and the area surrounding the cave is a wonderful explore! The jetted tub is great (although allow awhile to fill). The host and hostess were wonderful in explaining everything about the workings of the cave. You will never have another experience like this! The wildlife is great, although we were... More

I've been lucky and stayed in some great places. African Safari, cruise down the Nile in Eqypt, Rio, Meixo City, etc... This is the most unique place I have ever stayed! Trust me, you will never find anywhere like it. Book early and stay at least 2 nights, we regret not doing it. Booking is easy and everyone is very... More

My family stayed one night and we had a great time. The cave was well stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable (extra blankets, heaters, etc.). In order to get to the cave you will have to drive on unmaintained roads (an elevated vehicle is recommended). It is also recommended that you bring your food with you or opt... More

On our recent trip to New Mexico I wanted to propose to my girlfriend in the most unforgettable way. After finding this place online and researching, I realized that this was the most unique and yet strangely affordable place. When you check-in you first go to Gayle's house (the inn keeper) and fill out some paperwork. Then the fun begins....... More

What fun! It's worth staying here just for the novelty of it. It's definitely off the beaten track; you have to drive a circuitous route up dirt roads and then walk down a path to the cave entrance in the side of the cliff. But once inside, it's cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space. And unlike natural caves, this one... More

Loved the cave. One of our favourite memories of the trip. Very comfortable and Gayle and her husband were SOO helpful and nice. We had everything we could want including wine. Was like the best sleepover ever!!! It rained during the night which made it even more cosy. Drive up a bit daunting because we didn't have a 4WD and... More

This is the best place we've ever stayed - it compared to a tent camp in the Serengeti and a eco-hut in the Indian Ocean. It's absolutely amazing. The cave is incredibly well-appointed, cozy and comfortable. It's the best night sleep I ever got. The shower is amazing. Gail and her family were superb hosts, going out of their way... More
