We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Casa Blanca B&B. Highlights included coffee & home made scones for our early morning excursions, delicious full breakfasts, recommendations (what to see, where to go, places to dine), history of the area, and lots of good conversations. Phoebe and Phil welcomed us, made us feel like we were staying with friends. We hope... More

We stay here at least once a year when we come down to see the birds at Bosque del Apache. Casa Blanca is a wonderful old New Mexican/ Victorian house, full of oak antiques and lots of books. Phoebe and Phil are wonderful inkeepers--gracious,, warm, full of information if you want it, and very unobtrusive if you want privacy. The... More

While we have visited Bosque del Apache several times before, our January 2012 trip was our first time at this very hospitable B&B, and I completely agree with everything Andrea W wrote. We were sorry to miss Phil, who was away on a service project in Guatemala, but my husband and another woodworking guest enjoyed a look-around in his woodshop.... More

Everyone has so many nice things to say about Casa Blanca and here is one more hearty recommendation! Had an absolutely wonderful experience staying here. Had no trouble finding the place when we arrived on the 28th of December, 2011. Enjoyed the nature art and crafts throughout the rooms, including Phil's marvelous carved wooden bowls. Had fun borrowing books from... More

We were very fortunate that someone had just cancelled their reservation at Casa Blanca when we called only two days before our journey. Phoebe was nice enough to hold the room for us while we made sure we could book our bargain airfare to Albuquerque. Bosque del Apache had been on our "must-visit" list for years, and staying at Casa... More

We have been going to the Casa Blanca for our annual bird watching for years. It is a perfect location, gracious hosts, wonderful breakfast. What could be better, up at dawn to watch the bird fiy out - Phoebe has hot coffee and mugs ready to go, back by 8:30 for a wonderful hot breakfast. Spend the day at the... More

What a delightful, relaxing place to spend a night or two - maybe even more. This historical building houses a wonderful bed and breakfast. The minute you drive in to their parking area you feel like you're at home. Our room was the Heron room with a queen size bed and a large ADA equipped bathroom. There is a private... More

This bed and breakfast is small(3 rooms) but has lovely family atmosphere in the adobe dwelling from the 1800's. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife preserve(Bosque del Apache) and are more than willing to share. We wanted to go out for early birding and Phoebe prepared a to-go snack of home baked goodies and hot... More

We came here to be close to the famous Bosque del Apache wildlife reserve (we're birders). Loved our very agreeable hosts, comfortable, spacious room, proximity to the NWR (10 minutes away), breakfast and coffee, evenings out in the lovely, peaceful back yard area, and the entire experience. Would definitely come again. Phoebe and Phil made us feel very comfortable here.

The Casa Blanca matches our highest criteria for a b & b: friendly, comfortable, clean, with a delicious breakfast! Phoebe and Phil are engaging people who know the area well, especially the Bosque de Apache, where Phil used to be the manager. Phoebe has run the Casa Blanca for 20 years, hosting many wildlife enthusiasts, and understands their needs and... More
