Little confused by others comments as this seemed a nice hotel. Room was modern, typical of other remodeled HIE's. Everything was clean, nice breakfast offered. We were pleased with our stopover.

Twenty-five years ago Holiday Inn carried a tag that "the best surprise is no surprise." The HI Express in Santa Rosa is nothing unique, but with the odd assortment of hotels along old Rt. 66, it was nice to find a place the was reliable and comfortable. Santa Rosa NM is far from just about anywhere but I-40. Most of...

We were on our way home from our trip to Arizona and decided we would stop off to rest early. Santa Rosa doesn't have much, but they did have some small restaurants and a few hotels. We found the Holiday Inn after getting off of I-40 while driving up Historic Route 66. This Holiday Inn was clean and well maintained...

This is the oldest and most run down HIE Ive ever stayed in (Im a Platinum member). The rooms are way past their best in terms of decor, this is one hotel in need of a total makevoer.
The reason why I haven't voted it down any more is because the staff are very friendly, and because this hotel is...

Santa Rosa is not a tourist destination despite its marketing to attempt to make it as such. This was not as nice as other Holiday Inn Express locations that I've stayed at. The rooms are a bit dingy and dated. We had someone else's hair around the edge of the tub, a loose tile in the bathroom floor and the...

Granted, Santa Rosa is not a tourist destination. The hotel exists almost entirely to serve interstate drivers on their way to somewhere else. But the hotel makes no pretenses of being anything but a one-night stay. First of all, the hotel has only two entrances, making it extremely inconvenient to unload bags, especially in winter with snow, ice,and blowing wind....

The wall were thin and you could hear a lot of out side noise. Even though it had what looked like a very nice pillow top bed, it has one of the hardest beds I have ever slept on. The staff was very friendly and confident and the room was clean.
Guy at front desk during the night totally sucks. Nice room but bad attitude left me and the old lady in a rotten mood.
Excellent stay. Newer building with lovely lobby and large rooms. Rooms face away from the freeway cutting down on noise. Room comfortable and well appointed, with couch and coffee table. Excellent breakfast (a little short of fruit).
Stayed heretwon nights while in Santa Rosa. We had only planned to stay one night, but our car was having trouble and had to stay an extra night. The staff was VERY helpful during our stay!
