This is like the best of the Route 66 style, mid-century motels. Charming hosts greet you in the lobby and bake fresh cookies everyday. Breakfast is wonderful and a great way to meet other travelers. And you are close enough to the center of Taos to walk to the village and just chill. Clean, comfy, quiet, great pool, great room....

We stayed at El Pueblo Lodge for one night. Our room with a comfortable king bed and kitchen was specious and clean. Old pillows and poor soundproofing of the room (we could hear someone coughing and talking from the next room at night) are only things we suggest the hotel to change or improve. Breakfast was good with fruit salad,...

With its perfect location and charming hacienda style rooms, this was what we'd looked for to enhance our southwest vacation. Within walking distance of the Plaza and tourist shopping areas. We were early season so drove and parked more centrally to walk the shops. Also, only a few miles from the Taos Pueblos (one of the most amazing places we...

The bed was Motel 6 quality - hard as a rock. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Location is good! Our room had the dirties carpet I have ever seen - turned my feet black in 15 minutes!
This is a nice motel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was about the same as you'd expect with a chain hotels, but with much better service. They had grills and a park like courtyard. If I'm ever in Taos again I'd definately stay here again. The pizza place about a mile to the north was an excellent place...

The room was spacious and decorated with cute new mexico furniture. the bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. It was very clean. The staff were nice. Breakfast was superb....a great variety of items to eat and drink. Has a pool. Grounds are well taken care of so it's pretty. Great location.
We were pleasantly surprised at the authentic look of this motel. Feels like a converted hacienda.
Easy and efficient check in, cosy coffee area, rambling grounds that are well kept. There is a retro feel about the place, but not run down. We were delighted to see old fashioned patio chairs, all functional and intact.
The room was huge and...

The room are very out dated but the overall experience that we had was wonderful. The staff was very nice and the free breakfast buffet was quite good. There are small fridges in the rooms. The property was very pretty. The only down fall was that the pool was not open. Only the hot tub. It would have been nice...

It's easy to see why this hotel is number one on reviewers' list. There are no doubt more luxurious accommodations, but the combination of factors noted -- and I will add extremely friendly staff and management -- makes this place special. There are some maintenance challenges with the outside paint and adobe skin (the maintenance staff was hard at work...
