We took an anniversary trip to Taos and were incredibly glad we picked La Dona Luz Inn to stay at. Breakfasts were only on the weekend in the Winter dates, but these breakfasts were fantastically tasty. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful for exploring Taos, and simply pleasant. The Rainbow Room was fas=ntastic, although everyone should be aware that the stairs up to the sleeping loft and bathroom are steep. We are familiar with stairs like this from Baltimore - they were quite accessible for us in our active 60s+, but some might find them challenging. The stairs to the roof deck and its wonderful hot tub are more challenging - we treated them with caution, but were happy to use them.

The aura of the La Dona Luz Inn is peaceful and welcoming. We had the best nights sleep that we have had in our entire 14 day trip and will be returning again and again. The decor of the rooms are very artsy and fit the wonderful pueblo adobe warmth we felt from the moment we got there. The owner is personable and a true 'delight'. We stayed an extra day and left well rested and relaxed.

Paco, the owner/host at La Dona Luz Inn is charming. The location is great for walking to the Plaza, restaurants and shops. The decor is quirky, interesting and fun. But for us the fun stopped there: Wifi did not work in our room plus phone reception was very poor preventing use as a hotspot; The bed was squishy soft, and bounced and creaked like an old wooden ship at sea; The bathroom was outdated and had a very high step-in tub with a thick tile surround dangerous to shinbones. We left sleep deprived and very disappointed.

The most comfortable and beautiful B & B that I’ve stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was so lovely, spacious, and the shower was perfect. A porch looks out on the mountains and is still tucked in with flowers and a unique wooden railing! Breakfast was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

The room was beautiful! Perfect for my mom and me to spend our birthdays together. The B&B is clean, cozy and decorated perfectly! Paco was so friendly, welcoming and just comfortable to talk to. Breakfast was fabulous!! We couldn’t have asked for anything better than our stay here. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We definitely plan on returning. Thank you La Dona Luz❤️

What a little gem right in the heart of the very walkable and historic downtown Taos! Paco, the owner, is terrific and just chock full of information. The bed and breakfast itself is beautiful, filled with local art, pottery and sculptures. The doors and much of the actual furniture are carved beautifully. We had two rooms, the rainbow room with the hot tub on the roof and the Madonna room. Both were very spacious and beautiful. Nice and quiet despite being right downtown and excellent mattresses and bedding. We loved having a coffee maker in both rooms as well. The weekend breakfast is fabulous New Mexican. I think we had the best huevos rancheros of our lives there. My only caveat would be that to get to the rooftop hot tub, it's quite a steep ladder - not for the faint of heart, elderly or children. Other than that, an excellent choice. We would definitely stay there again–very close walking distance to museums, shops and restaurants.

This magical, beautiful, historical inn was a perfect stop in Taos. We loved the artwork! Everywhere you look there is something to admire. Each room has an art theme and walking through the kitchen, breakfast areas and garden kept us in awe of Paco's place. Paco, himself, is a wealth of information about the inn's historyand places in Taos. Breakfast on the weekend was delicious! Quiet and clean rooms. Would love to return to spend more time at La Dona Luz Inn!

This B and B is one of a kind. The owner, Paco, has decorated it throughout with some beautiful artwork. It’s situated right in the middle of Taos, which makes it very convenient to walk to restaurants and galleries. Thank you, Paco, for making our two night stay so comfortable.

We stayed in the Rainbow room and it had a full kitchen, silverware, toaster coffe maker full sized refrigerator the works.Lots of outlets for your devices and a largetv in the bedroom. There is a private patio off the living room and your own hot tub on the roof for only the Rainbow room. The room is like a Southwestern art galley with numerous paintings and artifacts. The location is right accross from the Plaza and Kit Carsons house .There are many options to eat within walking distance from vegan to burgers and most everything in between. The Smiths grocery store is a quater mile away too for snacks and bevrages. Paco is a good host and can fill you in on the history of the Inn and it's worth talking with him.If you are mobility challenged know that there are stairs to go up to the bedroom and also the hot tub(we are two 70 year olds and we did it).
