Our 4-night stay at the Kalahari Plains Camp was delightful. Our "tent" room was good-sized, with well-kept amenities including "en suite" bathroom yet it still had an African Safari feel to it, particularly the view of the desert from the front porch. The full-board food was creative, healthy and quite good, with both African and Western influences. A unique service... More

We stayed at Kalahari Plains Camp in April, 2012, as a party of four. Our guide, Jonah, was great, with a wicked sense of humour. He was also very cognisant of the animals in the reserve, where they might be, and able to predict how they might act. We had fantastic game viewing, while feeling that our enjoyment did not... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights here on our first leg of a 3 camp safari early this month (April 2012). This was the first time on a safari and in Africa. We chose to go with Wilderness Safari based on their environmental and educational involvement with the people of Botswana. We wanted to see three different ecological areas.... More

Comfortable and roomy suites, good dining and a top-notch staff. The setting is gorgeous and with the vast African sky overhead, you do feel like this must be heaven. Two female lions and three cubs roamed about one morning--a special experience.

We loved they stay at Kalahari Plains Camp. The staff was outstanding. Food and wine were the best. The Lady Chef made wonderful dinner and the bartender the best Gin and Tonic.

Kalahari Plains Camp was the 4th lodge we stayed in during our trip and one of my favorites. We were greeted with a bushman performance and fresh drinks, and an orientation while our bags were taken to our rooms. The lodge was beautiful as were the rooms, and the service was the best I had experienced in my life. The... More

I loved Kalahari Plains Camp -- my favorite of the three Wilderness Safari camps I stayed at. The guiding was first rate, the camp is well run. Although the animal density is not as high as in the Delta, we saw tons of game, including wonderful lion sighting, and the scenery is beautiful. Highly recommended, especially to add diversity to...
