“Helped me out when I needed it!”

It was a dark and windy night and I was stranded at LaGuardia with NO hotels rooms anywhere to be found. A friend found this room on line and booked it for me, but trouoble with pre-aid reservation and I had to pay again upon check-in. “Pleasant surprise”

After reading a lot of negative comments,I was a little bit afraid to stay at the Anchor Inn. They are doing a lot of renovation,so the halleays ate a bit dusty.The room and bathroom very clean. Not noisy at all. Good Continental breakfast. I would stay here again.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, Children of all ages-- The Anchor Inn reeks of cigarette smoke from the moment you open the front door. Even the designated "No Smoking" rooms are contaminated, probably because the ventilation is so poor. “Dirty,dirty,dirty”

It was horrible, so dirty we went there during the Sandy storm got a room which all of a sudden the rates got higher.Went in to the roomAnd went right back out. What a disgrace. “Attention to the guest's comfort is excellent.”

The service is excellent. The receptionist not only checked us in, but he showed us to our room. The sofa bed was already pulled out for us. I was extremely satisfied with this hotel! It was rated by AAA and the rate was the best in the area. The value was excellent. Staff very professional and attentive, hotel was quiet and room was immaculate. Parking was free and quick breakfast fresh. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

“bad houskeeping”

Recently stayed in the Anchor Inn for a week in all that time the carpet in my bedroom was not vaccumed and remained in a not very clean condition. Staff very pleaseant! but would not stay there again.

We are glad to hear that our staff did a good job with everything but the carpet. While we can not explain why there is a dirty carpet when a guest checks in as there is no excuse for it, we would like to publicly apologize that the room was not in perfect order for you when you arrived. More

“Smelly, dated and overpriced”
