A golden retriever greeted us on our arrival. A fruit and cheese platter awaited in our room. Heated towels and plush robes were a treat at the end of the day. We had access to WiFi in our room. Hidden Tv was a novel idea to my husband and I.Fireplace worked with a flip of a switch. We enjoyed the... More

We've stayed four times at the Asa Ransom house, starting with a night on our honeymoon 21 years ago. Most recently we spent a long weekend there with our teenage daughters. I find the Asa Ransom is very dependable, offering lovely service and rooms every time we visit. On this occasion, we booked two rooms for our family, and both... More

We recently celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary with an overnight stay at Asa Ransom House. Our experience left us feeling completely pampered. From the plush towels/robes and cheese/fruit tray in our room to the service we received during our dining experience, we felt catered to by the friendly staff. We both ordered the filet mignon entree, which was served with... More

My husband and I did an impromptu trip to Niagara Falls after our bigger vacation got rescheduled due to a hurricane. We stayed overnight at the Asa Random House, and it was pretty nice. My husband would probably give it a "very good", as he was into the old-fashioned Victorian rooms (I thought they were cute) and he loved the... More

Four of us went for dinner on New Years Eve. It was touted as a gourmet 5 course dinner. It was 5 courses - gourmet it was not. Packaged hors d'oeuvres, inferior shrimp cocktail, bland soup, limp salad. Two ordered filet of beef Bearnaise. Was served without the sauce, and when asked, the waitress had to read the description to... More

We stayed at Asa Ransom for New Year's eve, including dinner. It was the third time in 6-7 years that we've done that. Checked in (easy, quick) at 2:30pm, went to a movie, returned to relax and then go to dinner. The other stays were on the second floor but this room was in the back on the first floor.... More

We have stayed at the Asa Ransom House twice and both times we have had a wonderful experience. The house is charming and the food is always outstanding. All the rooms for overnight guests are different - check the website for more information. Also, if you just go there for dinner, you can ask to see the rooms to get... More

We live in Chicago and traveled to Boston for Thanksgiving, November 2010 and 2011. Clarence New York is the halfway point to break up our trip and it was the perfect place to stop and rest. We paid $250 per night and it was worth every penny. We have two dogs and it is very difficult finding a clean, comfortable,... More

What a wonderful charming bed and breakfast! Everything was perfect! I opted for the room rate only but we did eat dinner at the Inn. Dinner was fantastic. If you were going to order the more expensive items on the menu I would suggest looking into the meal package. We stayed in the Renaissance room. It was cozy and charming.... More
