We stayed at The Craftsman Inn 3 nights mid-May. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our rooms was clean, and there was easy access to the parking lot through a nearby door that was locked for security. We were in room 129. The furniture was solid and represented the work of local craftsmen...hence the name if the inn. It was... More

My daughter attends Colgate university and we have stayed here several times while visiting her over the last few years. Every time we come here the place gets more run down. It appears the management is not keeping up with basic repairs and maintenance. We stay because of convenience not because we want to. They need to overhaul the place... More

Thank you for your support throughout the years while your daughter has attended Colgate. I think that on your next trip you will see some welcome, and overdue, improvements to our facility. We're all very enthusiastic about being able to get underway with some of this work, and we look forward to improving overall guest satisfaction for our new and... More

The website looked as though it might be a pretty decent place for the a few nights. We were so wrong! Let's start with the service. The young lady was rude when she couldn't initially find our reservations. She was insinuating that were lying about making reservations. When she finally found us there was no apology. I suppose her attitude... More

It is clear that we have triggered some extreme level of wrath here. It is bewildering. As best as we are able to determine, the front desk associate that our guest refers to is the same young woman who is praised so often in previous reviews. While anyone can have an off encounter in a professional setting, it is hard... More

My sister and I stayed here while visiting our grandparents in a nearby senior housing facility. It was literally a mile away, so this was the most convenient option. We were pleased that they were able to put us in a room with two double beds instead of the King room we had to reserve by phone several weeks earlier.... More

We spent one night at the Craftsman Inn, which looks a lot better online than in person. Front desk staff was indifferent. Despite the craftsman furniture in the lobby, there's nothing charming, warm or inviting. The hallways are dark, with ugly carpet. The place is screaming for a makeover. Rooms are small and dated. Bathroom is tiny. Heat is hard... More

This was our first time here. We were drawn to The Craftsman Inn based on its website and its central location to our needs on a recent trip to the Syracuse area. We received a much better rate than other hotels in the area that were recommended to us. There is plenty of shopping and several restaurants nearby to choose... More

Stayed at the Craftsman Inn last night and the rooms were lovely, so much better than the same old same old chain but I made the mistake of eating at the attached restaurant. I ordered the chicken which was swimming in grease, I had picked it specifically because I didn't want anything fried for dinner. Unfortunately, this was and it... More

Thank you your comments about our rooms. we agree with you that there is a charm to our hotel that you might not find in a more traditional chain. I have relayed your words about the chicken entree you were not happy with. Our executive chef has reviewed the cooking procedure for that dish with our culinary staff. We are... More

Thank you so much for your comments about our staff. We do feel that we have a wonderful group of people to represent us here. Your comments about the water pressure do not go unheard. We are exploring new ways to continue our efforts at water coservancy while improving that pressure. A visit in the near future should see much... More

Craftsman Inn is a nice hotel. Nothing fancy but has a lodge feel quality to it. Cozy lobby and rooms. Rooms on the smaller side. Comfortable bed. Bathrooms are very small and very low water pressure. Feels like an individually owned hotel rather than a chain type feeling. Hallway carpets and elevator need a cleaning and leave a not so... More

You are correct that The Craftsman Inn is an independent hotel, and does have a country inn or lodge ambiance and feel. We are in the heart of Fayetteville's shopping opportunities, and have a number of great local and regional shopping destinations to visit right next door. Our Limestone Grille, as you mentioned, is a super spot to dine, but... More
