the hotel is a pleasant surprise, after a long journey and especially after the exhausting trip in the desert, on the camels. the rooms are large and nicely decorated - traditional but simple. the interior garden are, however, the strong issue of this hotel. it's a pleasure to relax during a short walk from the room to the swimming pool.... we recently stopped here for 1 night on our sahara trip with THOMSON, and i can honestly say it was horrid. on arrival the reception area was dull and past its best and the reception staff were extremely surly and then we had to carrry our luggage upstairs as there wasnt a lift. the room was freezing cold, it did... Sun Palm hotel was included in the 1N/2D tour (Thomson Excursion). After we all checked in, off to camel ride shortly, came back to have dinner and sleep. Then we left hotel in the very early morning next day. I didn't stay here for a long time, but I personally appreciated this hotel very much. I stayed in 2-star-hotel in... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night during April. The first surprise came to us when we realized that there was no elevator at the hotel and we had to carry our luggage up to the rooms. Dinner and breakfast were Terrible. not recommended at all More

We booked a 2 day "Sahara Select" trip with Thompson, "Select "meaning two seats on coach, smaller group and better hotel (4 star). The trip was fantastic but the overnight stay in the "4 star" hotel was awful , the food was terrible, sparse & luke warm. Our room & bathroom were freezing cold and in urgent need of repair... More

We went to this hotel with a group, during a 2 days trip from Hammamet to the South of Tunisia. The lobby and the hotel appearance are nice, but once that we got our room, we were negatively impressed about the cleanliness in each part of the hotel. In the room for example we found some hairs in the toilette,... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night during April. Well...thank God it was only one night because I don't really think I could bear spending another night in there. Before starting the Sahara tour our travel agent said "the hotel where we're gonna stay a night is really a kind of palace, a oasis actually!" Okay, sounds great, we thought. Almost too great, I can say now. The hotel has very nice interiors and we liked for the leafy environment, but those rooms! Dull, simplified and dark! I would... More

We stayed overnight as a part of our sahara desert trip and were ver y pleasantly surprised. The hotel is designed as a kind of castle and has a simple but very charming feel to it. The corridors to the rooms had no walls in some parts, opening up around small and very pretty courtyards with exotic plants covered in... More

We came upon this hotel on a trip from Hammamet. The trip? Sahara and Lizzard train. We had heard all sorts of horror stories about the hotels used, it being an over night trip. Think nothing if hearing the same. If this is the hotel used it is more than above average (I don't like saying excellent) I would recommend... More
