This is the most luxurious option you will find in Tataouine. It’s comfortable (although it’s very, very cold in the Winter), most staff are friendly, and rooms are clean. Breakfast is too basic (we not even offered eggs! – although I suspect there are more options in busier seasons). More

Aside from the photos we had seen online of our hotel choice, we really had no preconceived notion of what the town Tataouine would be like. (We certainly knew it would not be as “otherworldly” as the planet with a similar name in George Lucas’s Star Wars.) Surprisingly however, upon arrival to the Sangho Privilege compound just outside of town,... More

At the gateway for the desert in a valley bordered by mountains a simple/basic but charming hotel with bungalows that are built like the troglodyte dwelling of the nearby village of Chenini. There is a pool and tennis court. The rooms are very basic with few amenities. The food is OK - buffet style. The service was good. Popular with... More

This was a very pleasant hotel with bungalow style rooms with very nice garden surrounds. The rooms were pretty minimal but clean and okay. My one criticism would be the breakfast. We ate at the a la carte restaurant and were pleased we hadn't decided to try the buffet for dinner when we saw breakfast the next day. It was... More

This hotell is not like the rest of the hotell`s i have been to. It is like small houses up on the montain side. From 3-5 big rooms in each houses. All so clean, the nature around the hotell is so nice. The people work her give the best service. The restaurant have good choises in food. No traffic, easy... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in April 2010. Overall, I thought it was a good choice in Tataouine, and I would definitely stay here again. Positives: – I loved the “desert ambiance” of this hotel – beautiful xeriscaping, stone walls, tan desert colors. It’s snuggled up against a mountain (with the hotel’s name prominently noted in white... More

Sangho Hotel is one of the 2 nice Hotels in Tataouine. It was a nice place to be but lack of some facilities missed me a lot. Food is excellent, everyday there's a buffet and the personnel arrange the tables by the side of the pool (which is lovely, there's a big palm tree on a small island-like thing in... More

This three-star hotel is located on the outskirts of a working-class town, and is probably the best in the city. Actually, it was a bit of a surprise. The rooms are in the bungalo-style. They were clean and quiet. No TV and other amenities, which probably accounts for the 3 stars. (Like most Tunisian hotels, the concept of a wake-up... More

This hotel was a big suprise and once again proves how useless the star rating system is and how useful TA is. The hotel is location 2 miles outside of Tataouine along the road to Chenini. It has its own private drive and a huge sign on the mountain behind it indicates its location. The lobby and bar area are... More
