We ended up here when the Meson Aspeytia double booked their rooms and moved us out (Why we had to move and the others didn't I never learned). The rates at the Quinta were better, and their high speed internet was working (it wasn't at Aspeytia). The Quinta was slightly less well appointed, but very comfortable. A spartan breakfast (fruit,... More

We had just one night in Queretaro and had trouble deciding on a place. Our first choice, la Casa de la Marquesa, was booked, so we chose the nearby Quinta Santiago. It was a good choice. It was very quiet, nicely appointed and close to everything (OK - a block further from the Plaza das Armas than the Casa). The... More

I have been in the Hotel Qunita Santiago as I write this. What a great Hotel! Queretaro is spectacular - and The Hotel Quinta Santiago is a great choice for a long or short stay in this beautiful, clean, safe, lively and historic city. It is 2 blocks from anything you want to see and is as clean and modern... More

My partner and I went to Queretaro for four days this spring, to check out the town and get a little r&r. We live in Guadalajara, so were are familiar with colonial-era buildings that have been converted into hotels. One often has to sacrifice comfort or modern conveniences for charm and that sense of history that comes from staying in... More

We were booked into the Quinta Santiago for 4 nights from 27th March. However on arrival we found the place so dismal looking, with a driveway going through the middle of it and largish dark rooms that smelled a bit musty and black plastic strung over the open courtyard/drivethrough that the 6 of us (3 couples ) cancelled the reservation... I stayed at Quinta Santiago with my mother and aunt. It was just what we were looking for -- quiet, quaint, and in the heart of the historical center. If you're looking for a hopping spot with a bar, go elsewhere. (The bar at the Gran Hotel seemed to be one of the most popular places in town.) Quinta Santiago... More

What a surprise! The 1700's convent has been converted into an interesting hotel. The room was huge with a king bed, shower only, TV with CNN and American Network, hairdryer and soaps. Breakfast was included and they offered bacon & eggs, pancakes, fruit, etc. There was uneven water temperature in the shower and the sink was high so I had... More

The Hotel Santiago is a very nice place, in a good location to see a lot of the sites in Queretaro. We paid $102 per night for a room with a queen/king size bed, including breakfast buffet. The hotel appears to have been remodeled recently and the rooms are very modern and nice. Our room had no window, but excellent... More

The Quinta Santiago is located a few short blocks (a five minute walk) from the city center of Queretaro. Its exterior is misleading, but the interior is spacious and delightful. A converted colonial building, the Quinta Santiago has its rooms built around two large courtyards, one of which features a small restaurant. The rooms are spacious, with large showers, desks... We certainly enjoyed our three days this month in this hotel (and in Queretero, the cleanest city I've seen anyplace in the world). We arrived from a lavishly and colorfully decorated B&B in Tlaquepaque (Guadalajara), and at first blush Quinta Santiago seemed a step or two down, but on closer examination it was clear that this appearance was due entirely...
