Stayed here 2 weeks for work and was placed in a room in the main building. Live bands every night made it impossible to sleep properly. When I asked to be moved to a quieter spot so I could get some rest before a days work, management showed no understanding even if there were tons of available rooms. Clearly trying... More

I have been to The Gambia 7 times and The Senegambia Beach hotel is one of the best i have stayed in...more of a 4* than a 3* in my opinion! The high light of my holiday was the monkeys around the hotel grounds..they even came and sat on our balcony for a photo shoot for a bag of nuts..:o)... More

my husband and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Senagambia, Prior to the stay I emailed to request a room with a good patio as we enjoy relaxing and having a drink in the late afternoon and this request was met. The room had a nice big patio area and we could watch the monkeys... More

Gambia is a great short break holiday destination with a perfect sunny climate and a relaxing atmosphere just six hours away from the UK. My wife and I have stayed at The Senegambia Beach Hotel three times now and I first reviewed it in March 2010. At the time I made comments about the lack of hot water in some... More

Our third time to Gambia, but first time to Senegambia Hotel. We were not disappointed, most of the staff are lovely, friendly people (apart from the staff in the hotel reception and hotel bank). Rooms are basic, but adequate with decent a/c. It's a nice atmosphere generally - vulture feeding is fun, clean pools (thanks Jarra), half decent beach, no... More

This was my second visit to the Senegambia Hotel and even more relaxing and enjoyable than my visit with my family last year. As I kept in touch with my friend Buba Faty from last year I could ask his advice about the best blocks to reserve rooms in and he was spot on. We had adjacent rooms in Block... More

Very clean and friendly Hotel,With well kept grounds, 30min drive from the airport by taxi, which saved a lot of time, instead of waiting for coach.Asked for a downstairs room, was given upstairs, but was changed to downstairs with no trouble. There was only one thing that spoilt the holiday was the bumsters ( beach bums )you could not go... More

I visited this hotel 19 years ago and returned with some trepidation, fearing it might not live up to my memories, but I need not have worried, Although there were changes, like a large pool as well as the small quiet pool, and the beach had shrunk through erosion, the essential character was the same, and some things (like the... As majority of others have said this hotel is great. The rooms are basic but more than adequate for our needs. Air con (which has silent mode!) and a ceiling fan. Clean and beds made every day, changed twice during the week I think. Clean towels and towels for the pool provided - extra towels can be hired for 50... More

We stayed here as a couple for a week, and had a very enjoyable stay. The selling point of this hotel is it's grounds. The accomodation blocks are placed around the huge gardens. The gardens are beautifully kept, very peaceful and tranquil, filled with wildlife; monkeys, birds and monitor lizards. Everyday we had a walk around the grounds to spot... More
