If you are on the budget and looking for a resonable area that close to NYC by train or taxi then this is probably OK. The neighborhood is OK but at night could get a bit worrisome. Could be noisy since it right off the main road and train station. Breakfast is limited somewhat and you have to be quick... More

I chose this hotel as it was on the subway line and I like the la quinta brand. It's just a 20 minute ride on the 7 train to times square and easy walking distance to the hotel. I got a king room thinking it would be on an upper floor but it turned out to be a basement unit,... More

There is really no point to stay in Manhattan while visiting New York. La Quinta Long Island City is much cheaper and located next to a subway station, literally a minute walk away from the hotel. The train will take you stright to Grand Central in around 10-15 minutes. Mc Donalds just 20 meters away, great "Petes" Grill next to... More

This LaQuinta was a little disappointing - perhaps more typical of an older, inner city hotel. The room was comfortable but the bathroom was very small and there were no washcloths when we checked in to our room. Our hairdryer kept shorting out, and the desk had to be asked twice to have someone check it. Still no idea if... More

we stayed here for 6 nights including a weekend. The location is great in Queens with the #7 subway just round the corner for access to Manhattan. There are also plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and laudromat around the hotel. The thing is the rate can be very high on Friday and Saturday night, and can be higher than the... More

My husband and I stayed at the La Quinta in Long Island City April 21-22 for a getaway weekend. We arrived @ 1030am and were tired from travelling, we had asked if we could check in early and the front desk people were so nice. They said to come back around 1230 and they would do their best. We went... More

Ok let's understand you're not staying in the middle of Manhattan, you're out in Queens, around half-an-hour travel all up from Times Square (5 min walk to train, average 5 min at station (trains run about 10 mins apart), 10-15 min on train, then a few minutes to get back out of the station and up into Times Square). But... More

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It did the job for our family of four wanting to spend most of the time out and about exploring NYC. The service was average at very best. Communication average and amenities average. Pros : 5 stations from grand central station on 7 line. We bought the $29 weekly metro card and... More

We stayed here on march and got two rooms. one on the 2nd floor and one on the fifth. The one room was ok but the other was dirty throughout our whole stay. The hotel is located between two train stations that provide easy access to the city. There are many restaurants around and from the look of things its... More
