I really expected something special based on the reviews! unfortunately i was really disappointed! I have stayed in montauk before and there are many better places . Also there is no pool at this motel which is a big deal for me on a windy day.The staff was fine ,i just feel it was over rated.

Very nice place. Clean and well organized. They have thought of everything for your stay there. The only thing nicer than the place was the staff. Extremely friendly. Everyone greeted you with a smile and went out of their way to exceed your expectations. There is no where else I will stay when I return to Montauk

Our trip to MTK was in October 2012. Ocean Resort is very well located to all amenities .. ..beach just across the road,cafes/restos all within walking distance. First time at Long Island. Very standard room with small bathroom and old fashioned furniture. Water plug too close to lavatory, so hard to wash even your hands. Not directly at the beach but street between Inn and the sea. Shy staff. Nice porch and hammock. Clean facility. In comparison to other beach "resorts" could be more stylish and up-to-date... More

This is an addendum to my earlier review which seems to have disappeared somehow. This place was just a basic and very very small room. You have to leave your things in the car because there was no room in the room.... The bathroom also overflowed which i didn't mention in my initialreview. I would probably not stay here again!!!!

Stayed here recently for a couple of days during the week...the hotel is in a great location so walk everywhere...beach just across the street.. This was the perfect destination for my fall break. Easy access to all the thing I needed. Once I parked — there was never a need to reach for keys. We were pleasantly surprised how clean this hotel/motel was (and I'm very picky). Room was a comfortable size for a quick, overnight stay. Sebastian was very helpful & personable. The hotel is only steps from the Atlantic Ocean and close walking distance (just minutes away) to stores in town & only about a 10-15 minute drive to the Montauk lighthouse.... More
